El Cortador Tapas Bar

One of the dishes we ordered reminded me the taste of the rice dumplings from my home town. I was really glad I was there for lunch and 100% I will go again in the near future. Highly recommended and ECTB is my canteen in Folkstone for sure.

Conchitas

We hosted my dad’s surprise 60th birthday party here and honestly couldn’t have asked for a better experience. We come here regularly and always have lovely food and great service, which is exactly why we chose to host the special occasion here, the team are always so welcoming.
For the party itself, the staff were absolutely amazing. So attentive, accommodating and genuinely helpful from start to finish. They kindly allowed us to have the food buffet-style, which worked perfectly for a party and was absolutely delicious.
The team went above and beyond by ordering all of the decorations for us and even going into town to have our balloons filled, so we didn’t have to worry about a thing. They also put all the decorations up before we arrived, which took so much stress off us and really showed how thoughtful and organised they are.
The venue itself is a great space for a celebration. We had a singer and a saxophonist, and the atmosphere was fantastic, everyone had such an amazing time. To top it all off, everything was very reasonably priced, especially considering the level of service we received.
A huge thank you to Fiona and the whole team for making the night so special. Can’t recommend this place enough for a party or special occasion.

Ordered online, went in for pick up and it's was ready and waiting.

Food was hot, tasty and well cooked. Chips were perfect, fish batter was crispy if a little bland. All in was a nice meal while sat on the beach.

Marleys

We used to love the last Marley resturant as so quaint,but understand its good that its expanded. Food was lovely-as always! Vegan choices too. Staff were all so friendly (as always!) Food fresh! Good theres a large waiting area with seating where you can enjoy a drink while waiting for your table.

The Mariner

Our second visit to this lovely pub. We came back today for Sunday Roast and it was equally as good as last time. Really good quality food, excellent cooking, and decent portion sizes. The roast potatoes especially are easily the best in town! On top of it all the staff are so friendly and very attentive and the owner makes a point of introducing himself. We will definitely be back.

Lighthouse Champagne Bar

Surprisingly limited range of champagnes available for somewhere that calls itself a champagne bar, but the staff, atmosphere and location more than make up for it. On a sunny day, you just cannot beat it.

Rocksalt

Nice food, service a bit sloppy, eg starters coming before cocktails, having to hail a waiter for a spoon for ice cream. Nothing serious but could easily be fixed with better training.

The Radnor Arms

Thank you to Ben who works behind the bar! They have served us a couple of times now and have always provided an exceptional service. Genuinely lovely person who is brilliant at their job. Thank you!!!

VIET STREET

Love Vietnamese food and was happy to find on while working in folkstone. Went for the mixed pho and was no disappointed. Lovely food and arrived quickly. Will definitely be coming back.

The Seafarer

Absolutely amazing, juicy fish. Lovely crunchy batter and a massive portion of chips. It tasted incredible; easily one of the best chippies we’ve come across on our trips

Himalayan Cafe & Takeaway

This is the best Nepalese and Indian restaurant I have visited. The food was exceptional, the atmosphere was warm and inviting, and the staff truly won my heart with their outstanding service. If you’re planning to enjoy a great meal, I highly recommend paying them a visit.

Papa's Fish Restaurant and Takeaway

Great chippy. You can tell it is a good place to be from the amount of regulars there are. Papas is a household name in Folkestone and it's clear to see why here.

Had lunch here for my son’s birthday and the staff were fantastic and looked after all our needs! Food was great and lunch menu great value for money I had lamb shish, wife chicken, and kids wings and ribs all very very tasty! Baklava perfect way to finish! Couldn’t recommend highly enough thank you for a wonderful lunch

Annapurna Nepalese Restaurant

Fabulous food and friendly service. We were welcomed to a lovely cosy restaurant and I cannot fault the food. So tasty and full of flavour. The sauce came home with us.

Green Spice Tandoori

A decent Indian, that produces good value food, especially on Wednesdays and Sundays when the have a special offer on deal which includes, starter, main, rice and side dish. I really liked the aloo Gobi and Aloo chat Puri (as starter). Best to book on the above days.

Black Bull

The staff were very friendly and on hand for any questions/needs. The deals were amazing value and portion sizes, I span the deal wheel and got my main for free! I would definitely recommend and will be back :)

What an absolute gem The Gatekeeper has become under its new management. From the moment we arrived, we were welcomed into a beautiful, warm, and inviting pub that clearly has a bright future ahead. It's wonderful to see the thoughtful care, attention, and love being poured into every aspect of the venue. The improvements are evident throughout, creating an atmosphere that is both charming and welcoming. The food was simply exemplary. The quality, presentation, and flavour of every dish were outstanding, and the new menu is absolutely delicious. We enjoy visiting high-quality establishments and are fortunate to have experienced some excellent places, but The Gatekeeper has firmly become our favourite. Quite simply, nothing else compares. We visited to celebrate our daughter's 25th birthday and had the most fantastic time. The service was exceptional from start to finish, making the occasion feel truly special. A particular thank you must go to Shane, whose talent, dedication, hard work, and vision are so clearly reflected in everything that is being achieved here. His passion for creating something special shines through, and Ethchinghill is incredibly lucky to have him. We genuinely had the BEST time and honestly didn't want to leave. The Ship Inn

There was a singer who had a lovely voice and he played all the songs we asked him to, The atmosphere was great and we were all dancing! Definitely recommend this pub.

DAOW'S KITCHEN

This was without a doubt the best Thai myself and my partner have ever had!
Luckily live round the corner from this gem. The pricing is so reasonable for the amount and quality you get. I really the like the different vegetables added to the curry.
Going in to collect we found the restaurant was cute and loved the effects of the lights. We will definitely eat out there in the future. The two ladies who supplied us our food was so friendly and welcoming. We highly recommend this place.

Market Square

Had a fantastic time with my family here.
The food was fab (thanks to the chef/s) and reasonably priced.
Didn’t have to wait long either, even though there seemed to be only one young lady working the front (it’s quite a large venue). Thank you Charlotte! We asked her name when we left because she was so lovely! ☺️ We will be back!!

The Valiant Sailor

Stayed there for a night in a campervan in the car park. Had a really good meal with fresh, quality ingredients and vegetables. Really helpful staff and good location close to Folkestone harbour.

Fabulous Sunday roast from the set menu. Great quality, really good flavours, great portion size. Had lovely starts and puddings. Really impressed. Brilliant value. Lovely decor. Really welcoming staff and great service. Highly recommend.

Golden Arrow

Great evening spent at The Arrow with friends listening to Marty Russell. Service was second to none and bar staff were super friendly and accommodating. This is a lovely pub with plenty of seating and a friendly atmosphere.

Fantastic afternoon tea. Warm welcome, great service and a perfect selection of sandwiches, scones and cakes. Choice of tea or coffee. We added cocktails, which were lovely. Stylish decor. Overall a wonderful experience with fantastic service. Highly recommend.

I literally have no words.. the food was delicious..after so long i felt home away from home.Even the servers are so friendly.
We had veg kothey momo, egg fried rice, sukuti chatpate, pork belly, pork chowmein, aalu nimki, chicken fried rice and sukuti and each one of them took my heart away??

Arrived after midnight in need of some food and despite clearly closing up, kindly offered to cook me some chips.

Tried this place for the first time yesterday.
Friendly person who served me- I went for the mountain burger. It was pretty tasty- but has given me a bit of a funny tummy afterwards.
Was disappointed that my burger lacked salad shown on the menu photo. Instead of tomato’s I had tomato sauce?- no onion or cucumber- so was pretty random

Sunshine grill

Im a local and visited here for the first time today. What an absolute gem of a find. Absolutely beautiful inside, comfy seating area, clean toilets, friendly staff with a huge menu to suit all tastes. Had lunch so too early for cocktails, however they did sound and look amazing. Our food was delicious, fresh and reasonably priced. Would absolutely bring my family and friends here.

Lately visited this outlet and had the all new BBQ McCrispy Burger and the Grimace Shake—absolutely amazing! The Burger was perfectly cooked, with a crispy yet juicy chicken patty and flavorful toppings. The Grimace Shake was the perfect blend of creamy and sweet, with a unique flavor that left me wanting more. The staff was friendly, and the service was quick. Definitely coming back for this combo!

Starbucks Coffee

Very busy Starbucks indeed, but the queue always goes down quickly. Lovely drinks and service from all the great staff thanks Victoria my dry cappuccino was excellent ❤️

The British Lion

Only been here a couple of times but each visit has been excellent. There's a friendly buzz inside with a mix of regulars and newbies. All great a great welcome from Dee, the landlady. Super efficient and helpful. Last night had the salmon special and it was. The largest salmon fillet I've ever been served. It was delicious. Followed by a tasty cherry pie. Will be coming again on next visit.

The Beer Shop Folkestone

I like craft beer so when I saw a beer shop then thought why not try it.
Not doubt nice bar in the centre of town offering a selection of craft beers. But I visited the variety wasn't that cool. Still had a pint, enjoy the atmosphere and move on. Good service though. Hope be back again.

The Royal Cheriton

Great fun. Very friendly - easy atmosphere. A real local, with the lads watching the races and the footie and us women stuffing our faces. V reasonable cost. We had a small adult plate. Quite sufficient, frankly.
Not tarted up, thank God, or bistro- ized. Phew. Not posh (aka bland or boring) at all. Warm and comfy and.....wait for it.....REAL FULL FAT cream in little jugs. Yay, way to go.

Little Switzerland

Had breakfast at Little Switzerland and overall it was very good value for money. The place was quite busy, which meant service was a little on the slow side, but the staff kept us well informed and made sure we were looked after. Food was tasty, portions generous, and the setting added to the experience. Would happily return.

Been here a few times. Always pleased with the service from the staff. Great classic traditional look. A place you can feel at home in. Usually busy. But not packed. Food is lovely.

Django's Cafe Bar

Dropped in for breakfast, partner had an extraordinary large full English breakfast which was delicious and I had the Arnold Bennett omelette which I asked for gluten free, which was amazing! staff were excellent, nothing too much trouble.

The Little Fish Shop

Fantastic fish and chips, always busy which was a good sign the first time, but honestly in the last year and a half the food has never been anything less than excellent!

Papa Johns Pizza

The buttery special garlic dip will forever be my favourite. Shame they are not the standard anymore. Take away prices are really good, delivery is overpriced as everywhere.

Super Pizza

Needed some pizza after a night out, nice and hot so ate a couple of slices in the store and then the rest back at the hotel. Very nice and completely hit the spot!

Rosemont Restaurant & Cocktail Bar

Visited Rosemont after a family day at Folkestone Beach and loved it. The staff were super welcoming and the food was spot on. The pan‑seared salmon was perfectly cooked with crispy skin, and the seafood paella was fresh and worth the 30‑minute wait. Great portion sizes, child‑friendly atmosphere, and they even had live violin music at the end. Highly recommend.

Absolutely delicious. We have been twice and tried various dishes (prawn Penang, prawn pad Thai, chicken himmaparn, chicken satay curry, spring rolls) and all were fabulous. Perfect balance of flavour and a great level of heat. Freshly prepared. Large portions

An absolute gem tucked away in Folkestone, excellent selection of refreshing beers (try the Bouverie Pils on a summers day), great menu variety, proper friendly and helpful staff. Could spend many hours here....

The Royal Oak

Very friendly pub for both staff and customers We didn’t eat as kitchen closed Monday and Tuesday evenings. Drinks very reasonably priced too. Allowed us to stay overnight with our camper van for free and also said we could get takeaway if we wanted and eat inside. Will return

Mr Whippet’s Cafe

I love this little cafe, the food and coffee is the best I've tasted in a long time. Try the chocolate cookie it's incredibly delicious. Thank you, I will be back.

The Butt Of Sherry

Went last night with 4 people. Had the most amazing meal. We all had fish. Everyone was very impressed with their dishes .
I had Sizzling chilli and tiger prawns and I have to say it was one of the best meals I had. They were perfectly cooked. Well done to the chef. The staff were very attentive and helpful. It’s a wonderful place to go to when you want good food. I can highly recommend it.

Pomus Folkestone

I love this place, and it's such a welcome addition to the Folkestone food and wine scene. The staff are welcoming and capable, the food is delicious and the atmosphere is that sweet spot of casual, cosy quality.

We were greeted at the door by the lovely Chris, who went out of his way to make us feel at home. Great atmosphere created by Chris's friendly chat and knowledge of the area. Will definitely be back.

Kipps' Alehouse

Surprising selection of international and UK craft beers, something for every taste. Cool location and friendly staff. Was delighted to see some Belgian beers on tap! Only not giving 5/5 as interior/furniture could do with some tlc. Will be back though.

Stumbled upon this cafe whilst looking for a non-chain coffee. Exceptional attention to detail and a perfect cup of coffee, accompanied by a lovely little pastry.

Cabron Restaurant

11/10 — best pizza in Folkestone.

Fresh, quality ingredients really cannot be beaten. The service is always brilliant, attentive and fast.

We had the vodka sauce pizza and the American chilli pizza, and both were super tasty, reasonably priced, and miles ahead of others in town.

100% recommend.

The Guildhall

Don't judge a book by it's cover as it looks like it could be a bit rough and ready. Therefore I wasn't quite sure what sort of pub the Guildhall was but decided to risk it. Not that it was a risk as it turned out. On a freezing evening it was really warm, full of people of different backgrounds and sexes sharing a drink, having a chat. A lovely busy atmosphere and very well kept real ales - The Old Speckled Hen was in particularly good condition. Worth seeking out.

The Dog House

Had a warm welcome a beautiful breakfast here this morning.
I had The Mexican, sourdough eggy/cheesey toast with avocado and tomato with chilli flakes on the side. Delicious!

Harbour Coffee Co

Great coffee (oat latte was excellent) with good flavour. Small size, but good quality. Gluten free brownie very good (good texture and flavour). Super service and comfortable seating, inside and out.

Went to this chip shop as they have take away & sit down. The Savoury Slice

Loved discovering this place today.
Beautiful cup of coffee. Delicious caramel slice, other half had Bread pudding and loved it. The price was VERY reasonable. Was lovely and clean and newly decorated looked lovely inside and nice big window front to watch world go by.

The Britannia

Wow, what an absolute gem.
We, a party of 11, went on Easter Sunday and had pre booked a table.
The pub is small and has been extended a number of times and we were seated near to the tiny kitchen.
We had pre ordered our Sunday roast and they all came out at the same time and EVERY single plate was perfectly cooked.
I had the roast beef, and it was so tender, it melted in my mouth. Every piece of food on my plate was cooked to perfection... and this was the same for every person at our table.... and I can only assume for every other customer. Amazing credit to the chef and the staff because they operated like a military operation and I can't stress just how good the food was.
With it being Sunday, there was a live band in the main room of the pub who sounded brilliant. The main room was crowded and loving the music. However, as we were seated into the other room, we were still able to have our conversation whilst enjoying our food.
And the prices... extremely good value for money.
There is some parking next to the pub. There is a ramp/sloped entrance for wheel chair users and people of restricted mobility.
You need to pre book for food and a table.
What an amazing gem of a local community pub and huge credit to the chef and staff.

Noiy's Noodles at The Hope.

An absolute hidden gem. I really believe this restaurant is going places! The staff are hilarious & welcoming, the whole place had a cosy feel to it. Food was quick, and DELICIOUS. Maybe they could add a desert menu later on down the line? Other than that… wow we are amazed, and will absolutely be returning. Thankyou!

Kid-friendliness: Great atmosphere when you arrive. All the way to your order, the staff make you feel welcome.Parking: Good parking options for families, disabled and everyone else.Dietary restrictions: I can't drink cows milk, so I am happy with the oat milk.

The Cat & Custard Pot

Lovely quite, remote pub. Background music. Very reasonably priced drinks. Don't serve food anymore but that is fine. If you are looking for a cosy pub that is excellent value, You must visit.

Food For Thought - Thai Restaurant

What a fantastic little restaurant....why? First and foremost, the food is superb. Authentic ingredients and flavours at very reasonable prices, not to mention the portion sizes are enormous!Secondly the owners are so friendly, you really feel welcome and that they are genuinely interested in your opinions of the dishes.They open lunchtimes for Thai and English food options and evenings at the end of the week for Thai only.I can't recommend them highly enough, I left feeling so satisfied and with a smile on my face.

The Beano Cafe

Popped in today for a breakfast. Good value for the portion size and nice atmosphere too. Menu has lots of various choices. And the service was quick and polite.

Pulp 27 Coffee Shop & Cafe

The service here was great. It's a small cafe at the corner of the road. They serve paninis, jacket potatoes, sandwiches etc. Its not too pricey, and sure you could probably find something fancier at a higher price, but the panini I ordered was just what I needed for lunch. The staff were so friendly and accommodating, would recommend for anyone in need of a pit stop.

Bob's Seafood

We visit this place every time we are in Folkestone as my partner says its the best place in the area for seafood. Today however, he wasn't impressed by the crabsticks, and said he wouldn't buy them again, but he probably will as its the first time he has experienced any issues with their food.

The Samuel Peto - JD Wetherspoons

A very interesting building that has been tastefully converted to a pub and restaurant. The food was delivered very quickly and was tasty. Very cheap prices e.g. £11 for a Chicken Tikka main including a drink.

La's Seafood

I've been going to Bob's since I was a boy (over 35 years now) and I salivate weeks before my annual visit in August... without doubt the best shellfish stand in Folkestone, if not the whole of Kent. Delicious whelks, cockles and crab every time as well as plenty of other seafood to tempt you. The ladies that run it are the salt of the earth and always friendly.

Skuba Bar and Bistro

Went after seeing Jason Donovan in the less cliffs hall! Great atmosphere played so many 80s classics so the party continued .... door security was smiley and friendly opened doors and made feel welcome. Bar staff (didn't catch his name) he is a VIBE! bought out our cocktails aas friendly stopped for a chat! Told him you suit here well, great customer care, he was vibing with us all even had a hug when I left so all round wonderful end to evening here ?
