Great food! Had cod and chips probably best I've had in Kent! 100% recommend, didn't wait long, even though was busy, staff polite and service was good!

We used to love the last Marley resturant as so quaint,but understand its good that its expanded. Food was lovely-as always! Vegan choices too. Staff were all so friendly (as always!) Food fresh! Good theres a large waiting area with seating where you can enjoy a drink while waiting for your table.

My first time visit, what a lovely place, nice friendly atmosphere, good choice of drinks.
I saw some bloody lovely looking pizzas coming out, proper pizza none of the greasy mass produced stuff.

If I can make one observation, a list of available beers etc, I'm highly anxious, I get in a panic, yes, I'm nearly 6'4, but I'm a puddycat.

However, I've had an excellent afternoon, celebrating a very old friend's birthday.
And I will be back.

Dr Legumes

Creative and delicious vegan small plates. We first encountered Dr Legumes when they were based at the harbour where we had a memorable birthday lunch for my wife. Pleased to see they appear to be thriving and now located in a pleasant part of town. The service was friendly, the upstairs seating cosy with plants and artwork creating a lovely atmosphere. The food is all made fresh to order with a focus on local ingredients, all dishes had fantastic flavours and were beautifully presented. The heritage tomatoes with sourdough croutons and the tempura oyster mushrooms were highlights but we could have eaten the whole menu! The sticky toffee pudding with ice cream for dessert was outstanding too! All washed down with a local brewers Docker DFL (LOL!) IPA. Definitely going back again. Yum!

El Cortador Tapas Bar

Came here on my own while away with work. Was made to feel very welcome, was even advised by the lovely staff not to order too much but to see how I got on. They are obviously aware of their very generous portions. Food was amazing would definitely recommend. Great service great atmosphere top food defo recommend a visit.

VIET STREET

Easily the best 'street food' in Folkestone, I cant think of anywhere that even gets close? Great food, friendly staff and infinitely better than anything the overated harbour has to offer.

Lighthouse Champagne Bar

Lovely atmosphere and even have live music. On a sunny day it can be tricky to get a table but well worth it if you can grab one! Great selection of drinks and nibbles - even had vegan options!

The Seafarer

On our way back home to
london from a holiday in France we stopped off here for a chippie tea to have in the car. Simply the best fish and chips I’ve had in England by a mile. Superb!

Papa's Fish Restaurant and Takeaway

Easily one of the best fish and chip restaurants in the whole of Kent. They do a selection of smaller meals for people with a little tum. One of my favourites is fish bites and chips! Always places to park nearby and they offer takeaway, dine-in and delivery.

Aspendos Folkestone

Honestly such an amazing eating experience. Attentive staff, wonderful food, generous portions - such a great place to go and close to some stunning views of the sea for when you walk off a ridiculous amount of meat you will eat.

Conchitas

Excellent food with excellent service. Everyone in our party thoroughly enjoyed their food. Everything was tasty and well presented.
Will definitely go back.

Annapurna Nepalese Restaurant

Came in for my mother in laws birthday as she really fancied having Nepalese for dinner. We got everything to share between us so we could try as much as possible.

We had spicy king prawn, pork momo, and Pani Puri for our starters. The batter on the king prawn was so delicious and morish. I am particularly fond of momo and the dumplings were excellent here. I would recommend momo to anyone that's not had it before.

I had not had Pani Puri before, so the waitress showed us how to do it, very different to what we are used to doing with food so it's quite fun to assemble it all.

The thali was really nice with the curry and daal served with rice. Normally this would be for one person, but as we had shared starters too we shared this.

We also split a prawn chow mein. This was different from a chow mein you would have in a Chinese restaurant, and has more depth of flavour.

What was really good was that they asked how spicy you like the food. As my partner doesn't do well with spice, although she likes it, we only had a low spice level.

The Gurkha beer was really nice too.

Overall I would recommend coming here to try something different and the price was very fair too!

DAOW'S KITCHEN

I’m so blown away by the incredible food and service here that I haven’t even waited to leave to write a review.

I had khanom jeeb (dumplings with pork and prawn) followed by a beautiful stir fry with chicken and cashews. The best Thai food I’ve ever had and I’m now going home to look at holidays to Thailand!

The service was amazing, so friendly. Thank you everyone at Daows kitchen for such a great experience.

The Radnor Arms

Food was delivered promptly and was probably the best thing I’d eaten in ages (the Bicalona Sisig pork belly flatbread). Great selection of beers to and lovely ambience. Will definitely follow back whenever the next time I’m in Folkestone is

Green Spice Tandoori

We have just moved to Sandgate, went out for an evening walk and stopped here for a bite to eat. Food was wonderful and a cut above many curries we have had in the last couple of years. Will definitely be back and will become a regular

Rocksalt

We stopped by for some fish and chips. Top tip, it’s only available in the bar and not the restaurant downstairs. Overall our experience was positive with great food and location with friendly staff. It wasn’t 100% clear where the bathrooms were but they’ve named them the poop deck if you need them. In the bathrooms it was uncomfortably warm but in the bar it was a pleasant temperature. Fish was excellent and I particularly enjoyed the peas. Best fish and chips in Folkestone.

Pizza Prima Take Away

Always had the best pizza here, never had issues. Pizza is not greasy in the slightest and is made to order very quickly. Lovely service ? definitely coming back ❤️Vegetarian options: Very good choice of vegi pizzas

Finally an Asian restaurant who were so accommodating for my intolerance
Chef even came to chat over the menu and was so diligent I was honestly WOWED

Central Fish Bar

Amazing kebab last night. Was arriving late from Brittany and expected it to be closed. The guy cranked up the fire and got that leg spinning to slice off some freshly cooked meaty goodness. The salad tasted pretty good too considering it was about to close for the night.
So good to see these places open late before the weekend. Life saver!
Cheers guys. It definitely bit the spot.

Bay Tree Bar & Grill

Ham sandwich was expensive but had a decent bit of ham. Salad and crisps were fresh. Their hot chocolate was delicious lovely night time drink. Bar staff are really helpful and polite. The area is really clean. I love having a chilled drink here.

Parking: U can go inside the burlington and pay or pay online when u book your room.

Wheelchair accessibility: Bar is in the basement and they have lifts to all areas of the hotel.

Ocean Bleu Bar & Lounge

We are three guys "retired" and have formed the £20 club - where we each buy a round of drinks within that price range - this is one bar that is on our go to venues with great service and atmosphere

I went to the restaurant last week . I had an amazing service at the restaurant with the waitress Yolande , she’s an outstanding waitress, very professional and dedicated to her work. She has an amazing smile , very acknowledgeable . I would definitely recommend to friends and family.

A great pub / restaurant right on Sandgate beach.
The selection of real ales and lagers is impressive, the bar staff are friendly, attentive and welcoming.
I will definitely be back.

Lemon Leaf Restaurant & Bar

The food was great and have Indian and Nepalese flavours. We have tried Butter chicken and Chicken Madras it was yummy. The ambience was good but can be improved.

Kid-friendliness: Took my 2 little girls. They enjoyed it!

Lucky Chip

This is by far the best burger I’ve ever had! The fries and the tots were amazing and the flavour of the cream soda bbq sauce was INCREDIBLE!

In all fairness I only bought a coffee as I’d eaten breakfast in our hotel before we came to the Chunnel. My coffee was very good and again I must say very hot, and tasty. I did notice the food that was on offer and to be honest I wouldn’t have eaten anything there the food looked awful.

Had a really lovely meal here 3 courses each and each one was banging theres plenty to choose from and the specials are changed daily, the pub it's self is very nicely presented the staff are very friendly and welcoming food was perfectly cooked I would like to recommend

The Beer Shop Folkestone

I like craft beer so when I saw a beer shop then thought why not try it.
Not doubt nice bar in the centre of town offering a selection of craft beers. But I visited the variety wasn't that cool. Still had a pint, enjoy the atmosphere and move on. Good service though. Hope be back again.

Absolutely lovely place with stunning views across the Channel, and talk about friendly the staff couldn't make you feel more welcome even if they tried definitely going back when in folkestone next year

Lovely Saturday afternoon lunch. Staff very attentive, and apart from an item not being cooked to our perfection - which was taken back and returned so it was how it was liked - the meals we had were lovely. Our server was great and would always go back again

Django's Cafe Bar

Amazing food at a really reasonable price.

I had the tikka bread, girlfriend had the moules frites. Both were so good. Would recommend anyone to eat here if you’re in Folkestone, just a short walk up from the beach, through the old high street.

Definitely coming back!

Amazing. It's a bit like being invited round to a top chef's house for dinner. Small, homely atmosphere and you're greeted like old friends. Very limited menu of two things per course so only go if you're not picky, in sense that you eat a limited number of things. But do go if you're picky in the sense that you know really good food when you taste it. The food was incredible. Every single item of food was so elevated, it's hard to explain. The best example I can offer is that I've never had a tomato that tasted so tomatey. If that makes no sense, I can't help you. The wine was great, we tried the fizz and the picpoul and both were spot on. And then there was the creme brule. The absolute highlight.

KFC Folkestone - Cheriton Road

The service here is so much better compared to the Sandgate Road kfc.
Sandgate Road refused to serve me food because it was an online deal, so I said I will order it all separately and pay for it separately they still refused me.
So I came here and got the food I wanted with great customer service. Thank you ?

Good Restaurant. Busy at times with no seats available. Especially at weekends. Some people leave trays full of rubbish on vacant tables or by the recycling counter which is not good. This should be discouraged.

Surprising selection of international and UK craft beers, something for every taste. Cool location and friendly staff. Was delighted to see some Belgian beers on tap! Only not giving 5/5 as interior/furniture could do with some tlc. Will be back though.

It's a lovely sunny day so we stopped for a coffee and ended up eating the fish finger roll and the warm mackerel roll, gotta say both were phenomenal, just sitting here looking out to the channel with the sun on our faces, just a beautiful setting complimented by the food and drinks, if you haven't been then WHY

The Hillside Cafe

Classic ol' caf' ? super friendly staff and generous too. Free top ups of lemonade for the kids. On very hot day Ken even brought both kids over some ice-cream on the house. They really know how to take care of their customers whether you're known or new.

Kid-friendliness: Without asking Ken knew to pour the kids cups only half full (with free top-ups offered too) and also grabbed straws and cut them shorter. These little things (as well as free surprise ice cream on a hot day!) makes it a really nice and chill family place

Wheelchair accessibility: Step free access and staff will come to you if you can't make it to the till. Plenty of seating with open spaces to wheel up to no problem

Noiy's Noodles at The Hope.

We had tried here twice before but missed the time as it closes at 8:30.
We took our Pad Thai and peanut satay with rice to the beach and enjoyed every mouthful.

Food For Thought - Thai Restaurant

What a fantastic little restaurant....why? First and foremost, the food is superb. Authentic ingredients and flavours at very reasonable prices, not to mention the portion sizes are enormous!Secondly the owners are so friendly, you really feel welcome and that they are genuinely interested in your opinions of the dishes.They open lunchtimes for Thai and English food options and evenings at the end of the week for Thai only.I can't recommend them highly enough, I left feeling so satisfied and with a smile on my face.

The Cat & Custard Pot

Lovely quite, remote pub. Background music. Very reasonably priced drinks. Don't serve food anymore but that is fine. If you are looking for a cosy pub that is excellent value, You must visit.

Fantastic place not far from the seaside just a 2min walk. Good coffee, tasty baps with bacon or sausage at normal prices. Definitely come back on the work lunchtime and seaside visits.
