Went for dinner last night staff very friendly and polite dinner served was very good service was brilliant just before we was due to leave there was trouble in the bar the staff was brilliant worried about out safety and the kids they took us out the back way so they kids did not see what was going and and made sure we got in the car safely.\\nThank you so much to the staff they could not have done anymore if they tried will definitely be going back, well done keep up the good work and keeping customers safe.

Small portions but a good value breakfast. Lovely and friendly staff very clean and great service. This is a new pub for me to visit for brekkie but it is very close to home for us, with lots of parking or the bus stop just across the road

Visited last Tuesday, 1st steak come out freezing cold no check back so had to go to the kitchen slightly open the door to ask for assistance 2nd come out after everyone had finished their meals 'medium rare' granted was giving a refund, but rude staff from the get go, don't leave clowns in charge when your not there kev think everyone needs a reminding of anyone can be a mystery guest it's not hard to do a job properly especially when it was dead, happily come and assist you on training people ?

Meal was at best lukewarm when it arrived, Yorkshire pudding overcooked and inedible. I have had far superior meals in the same price bracket and at the same franchise. Would I visit again, sadly the answer is no. Tables were full of glasses and generally it feels of neglect both inside and out. The drinks were fine.

We were a large family group of 12 and pre-booked. We were contacted a few days before to let us know that we would be on separate, adjacent tables and not one large one. Not a problem and great that they took the time to let us know. The pub and Restuarant were very busy but the service was fantastic, we didn’t have to wait long for drinks or food. As a large group all our food came out together and was hot and tasty. All the staff were great, smiling and making sure everything was ok. Special mention to Mitchell who was an absolute star and looked after us really well.

Over the years since Hungry Horse opened in Folkestone the Black Bull has been a bit hit and miss but with the newest manager I would be happy to recommend the pub to anyone. The staff are friendly, chatty and helpful. The selection of food and drink caters for all tastes and not only is the food very good value but is served in good time, piping hot and delicious.
