I had a terrible sized portion of cod & chips, it’s the third time they’ve given me a ridiculous amount of food now. Maybe the first and second time was bad luck, but it seems to be their way. The last time I got chips from there I ordered large, it’s was like a child’s size, I was meant to share them with my work colleague, but that didn’t happen, I was going to return them and get chips with my salt & vinegar. They need to sort it out otherwise people will avoid it and go elsewhere, it’s literally a joke in there.

I ordered medium and large chips plus a spring roll and hot dog to take away. I got home and the spring roll wasn’t in the bag and I wasn’t going to drive back there. Despite ordering medium and large chips both portions were the same size and very tiny, more like childs size. The large was meant to be for two children but as it was such a small amount I used both potions for two children. So I never had any plus I never had my spring roll either. Considering the large was tiny I dread to think what the small size would be like? 5 chips? Won’t be going again as the portion sizes are far to small and I paid 2.95 for something I didn’t receive. I felt ripped off. Sort it out Marlin Plaice & stop giving child portions.

Went in for cod and chips with gravy. Everything was very fresh and tasty. Probably one of the nicest fish and chips I've had in a while. Pleasant and friendly staff. Prices are fantastic. Definitely go here if you are in the area. Great work guys.

Ordered a medium cod with small chips and mushy peas. The medium cod was absolutely tiny - about the same size as the ones you get from a frozen box, though possibly narrower. The small chips were laughable; the smallest portion of chips I have ever seen!! Please be warned they are using TINY bags for small portions - I would even go as far as to wonder if it’s a scam for those who are ordering for delivery? I know I asked for a small portion but in relation to the price and the absolute national standard of a ‘small’ portion of chips, a serving size of a flying saucer bag is just ridiculous. (Photo of bag provided with a washing up sponge to scale!). The whole meal was as if I’d ordered off of a child’s menu - not worth the money at all. This is the first time I’ve ever been hungry after ordering fish & chips. Sort out the portion sizes Marlin Plaice!!

This restaurant is so cheap in comparison to any restaurant i’ve been to. This restaurant definitely prioritises quality and quantity which is rare. The food is made with love and you can tell - best reason to support and visit family run small businesses ?
