We went there for a birthday meal, we (6 of us) each a different meal; steaks, sea bass, pizza, GF pizza and spaghetti carbonara. All our food was excellent, as was the service. The atmosphere was good and there were a good number of customers there, especially for a Tuesday lunchtime.

Stopped on the way back from a country walk. Had two excellent pints of Tribute plus a starter each and a portion of chips between two. All excellent.

Atmosphere could be improved with a few soft furnishings and (for me) putting the speakers in water. But, I love the hare themed wallpaper, paintings, and models.

A few years ago I used to come to this place once a week as my Dad loved to eat his lunch here. I’d not been here for a long time as I don’t live in the area anymore but today I was in the town, so I ate my lunch here.

I’ve eaten in many cafes and restaurants and I can safely say that the tastiest Chips you’ll ever taste are served here! I ordered Ham Egg and Chips and it’s was so tasty I was tempted to order it again… No joke I’m still thinking about the chips now.

Never tried any other meals here but the meal I’ve tried was perfect taste wise but the one downside was the portions were small. I’ll try the Pie and Mash sometime as it does look very tasty…

Staff were very polite and friendly and when I sat at my table I was offered a Newspaper to read.

The seating inside the premises looks nice but the seats are not comfortable and are unforgiving, when sitting for to long…

Overall, A family friendly atmosphere and highly recommended.
Try the chips.

Between your starter and main course you are actually asked how long you would like between, Now neither my Husband or I have ever been asked that! A wonderful touch to the restaurant. The food is outstanding! Really really beautiful. I can honestly say I have never enjoyed an Indian meal as much as I have dining in this restaurant, my Husband totally agrees. A bit grubby and shabby in places (tired wood laminate flooring, uninspired decor, worn out furniture, a bit dark) — I think the coffee is decent but not quite first rate.

Get the atmosphere up to modern standards and the coffee to have some more strength and flavour and it's a five star. But then again, part of me likes the lived in / worn vibe, and I think it's probably a bit intentional on their part to add a bit of a rustic edge. It really depends on your interior design taste.

What I also really like is this place has an outward looking ethos; local business and event leaflets are displayed, as are pieces of local artwork. Their support of the local community really gives the café a warm and welcoming vibe.

There's also a 15% discount for local Gravesend town centre workers and Blue Light Card holders.

As for the food here, it essentially processed stuff off a conveyor belt. Having looked at the ingredients labels I'd steer clear.

Popped in here for a weekday lunch and was pleasantly surprised. Staff very friendly, found us a table quickly, took our orders in a reasonable amount of time and not rushed or left waiting too long. The food was also delicious and from start to finish the service was excellent. We couldn’t have picked a better revenue for our celebration. The space was comfortable and perfectly suited for our event and it’s also so local so perfect location.

Stayed for two nights. Lovely clean room, comfy bed. Good shower. Fridge and microwave very useful. Thankfully someone had installed a fan, as it was extremely hot when we stayed. Couldn't find a hair dryer to start with then realized it was on the landing with the iron. Good location just a short walk to the station. Good restaurants nearby too. Pub itself very cosy and friendly.

I have been getting a kebab takeaway from here since my family moved to Gravesend a few years ago and it’s the best chicken sheesh I’ve ever had in my life! The salad is fantastic and always fresh and the onions and pickled chillies are to die for. The quality of the chicken sheesh and salad is 10/10 and their garlic and chilli sauces are homemade and delicious. The chilli sauce is quite spicy but in the best way! I have never had a bad meal from here and would recommend the chicken sheesh kebab to anyone in the area.

Kurdish Iraqi Kabab restaurant, has grilled Fish and other middle eastern grills on the menu as well as Doner.

Food is delicious specially the kabab just like in Iraq. The portions are generous. Price is very reasonable.

Staff are friendly. Toilet available and clean enough. Now the downside is the the seatings 3-4 tables for 4 persons and the generals atmosphere is not family or couples. Mostly guys coming back and forth drinking tea and chatting around the restaurant. And had difficulty finding parking spots around the restaurant.

Favourite Iraqi Kurdish restaurant in Kent at the moment. Highly recommend take aways and quick eat ins.

Munchies Peri Peri

The food is excellent, and it's a perfect place for a quick and tasty meal. Their special peri peri grilled chicken is the main reason I came for..the fried chicken was also cooked perfectly, so the meat is really juicy and soft on the inside, and the skin on the outside is a little crispy.
The peri peri sauce is amazing. It has a nice spicy flavor (mild) that is not too strong, so you can still taste the chicken. The service is wonderful with customer oriented staff.
The prices are fair, so you get a lot of good food for what you pay. It’s a great deal for a great meal.

lovely location with views across the Estuary and duck pond behind . some say dated decor but we liked it as felt like being back in days gone by , good food especially the rolls but slow service in waiting a while for the meals good value for money , but great place and certainly visit again certainly in the summer.

The Brothers Fish Bar

Absolutely loved this fish and chips shop. The fish is freshly dipped in batter and deep-fried right in front of you, so it comes out hot, fresh and perfectly cooked. It’s takeaway only with no seating, but the quality of the food more than makes up for that.
A regular portion of fish and chips costs around £11 as of January 2025. The food was really delicious and neatly packaged in a box, making it easy to enjoy on the go. The staff was very polite and friendly too. Definitely worth stopping by if you’re craving proper fish and chips.

Been ordering here for years and has been consistently good every single time, we order takeaway all the time and are used to being disappointed but every order here is hot, fresh, tasty and delivered on time. Tried every kebab house in Gravesend and have to say this one is my favourite. Everything is value for money, no delivery fees, great customer service and follow any requests/instructions. I was wrongly accused of laughing at a member of staff who claimed to be the manager.
She was paranoid , unreasonable and unpleasant.
Hardly the type I would expect to be in charge of busy pub.
She assured me that everyone at the place loved her(?!)

My friend and I spend a regular 2/300£ a month at the Robert Pocock but were prevented from spending anywhere near what we usually do on this last occasion.

We wont be again.
