Always enjoy coming to The Great House. Very welcoming, quality and variety of food excellent and service is very efficient. Great choice of gluten free options, especially the pizzas. Even give you money off so what's not to like.Dietary restrictions: Excellent gluten free options on many items on the menu

Couldn’t find fault in the food here, but rather the unusual booking system. When booking you are only given the option to book for one and a half hours.This is not usually long enough, especially if you are eating 3 courses.This was the case for us, and just as we were about to order the dessert, we were asked to vacate the table.To be honest, this was really embarrassing. And to top it off, nobody came to offer help with moving our drinks etc to the bar area, as we also had our dog with us and things to carry.So needless to say, we didn’t fully enjoy our experience here.I would like to suggest, allowing customers to select a longer time for their tables, as it feels to me like they can’t wait to to take your money and get you out the door.

We regularly go to The Lazy Fox and The Gunn, absolutely amazing, service is brilliant, so welcoming and friendly so we decided to try The Great House for a change, the man and woman serving us couldn't have been less welcoming and more miserable if they tried, no smiles no nothing, nothing like the other 2 pubs, really disappointing. My only other moan for all of them is the discretionary service charge, I hate it, won't pay it, I understand if there's 6/8+ but there were 4 of us, 2 were children, and they wanted nearly £20 lol, I decide if I want to tip and if we do it certainly won't be that amount, its u comfortable to have to say take it off, it shouldn't be a thing, I find it quite rude.

A first class experience. The waitress that served us was attentive and polite….. The food was delicious. Lovely touch with their dog menu … I ordered two dog dinners for my dogs that were with us, as we were only having a bar meal and not eating in the main restaurant. I will definitely be going back.

The food is unbelievable!!! So tasty and so unique. I ordered the vegan fish and chips and it was 10/10... And everyone else on the table who ordered different meals all commented that their food was really really good.Not only was the food delicious but the service and atmosphere was perfect. They were extremely accommodating especially given that we arrived with not much notice and with 5 young children.A real hidden gem as we were only visiting the area but one to bookmark to visit again.Thank you.Vegetarian options: And vegan option
