Best carvery I've ever had in my life! We eat out alot and I've always sworn you can't get a better roast than my own mums roast but my god the food here is amazing is proper home cooked comfort food!! I'm sat here thinking about it now especially the cauli cheese & the gravy ? Also they were so family friendly which is lovely as I do get anxious taking my toddlers out to resteraunts but all the staff were so cheerful and nice! We will definitely be coming back, worth the 30 minute drive from our house 100%!

I've just experienced the nicest Sunday lunch I've had in many years, we go out most Sunday's and sample local restaurants and pubs and even michelin star establishments and this tops the lot. A warm and friendly family welcome with such super friendly attentive staff that really make the experienced extra special, great beer and the desserts are delicious although it was a push to squeeze it in due to me filling up my plate with so many fresh and delicious vegtables and roast potatoes I'm glad I did. I've never had delicious cauliflower cheese too. The gravy was also like nothing I've had before and would love to know that family recipe. All in all a great place to eat and I can't wait to go back again. Thanks to a the staff for a lovely afternoon.

Very good food and service and very reasonable. Highly recommend, we loved the lasagne and chicken kebab and we really welcomed by the owners.

Hands down the but Sunday Roast you’ll have!Great price, no frills, just a proper honest delicious roast dinner!Vegetarian options: I had the meat free carvery but there are other options available for vegetarians that aren’t the generic pasta or pizza I always seem to have to have! The abundance of different veg, the crispy roasties and Yorkshire Pudding plus veggie gravy made it a proper roast dinner for me, and that’s rare!

I’ve thought long and hard about writing a review but the experience has niggled me so here goes .. We visited on Father’s Day for the first time and were very much looking forward to our meal as we’d heard such good things but we came away rather annoyed. Due to the roadworks we were running about 20mins late, I called the establishment to advise we were on our way as a courtesy and apologised for our delay to which we were advised was ok. We arrived and were seated to our table but waited 15/20mins after being seated for our drinks order to be taken then waiter another 15mins for them to arrive and even then my elderly grandad had to wait s further 10mins for his hot drink to arrive. The young girl that served us was very polite but completely inexperienced and couldn’t answer any of our questions (we later found out she is usually in the kitchen). I ordered a set menu meal for my grandparents to share as they don’t eat much and we hate wastage. After ordering our food, we were then approached by an older lady (the owners partner?) who told us that due to it being Father’s Day they don’t offer any alternatives to this even though we’d explained this and asked about kids meals/smaller portions at the ordering stage. Now what got my back up was not what this woman was saying, it was how she said it. Patronising and derogatory is an understatement, it was also insinuated that we were ordering a shared meal because we were trying to save money which I was angered and embarrassed by as I was treating my elderly grandparents. In the end she came back and said they could do 2 senior meals like she was doing us a favour (had this been explained at the ordering it would have saved a lot of confusion and annoyance). The food was lovely and the lady on the bar was amazing but until the older lady learns how to treat customers we won’t be back! Such a shame! Ps I am in the industry as is my husband and I’ve never witnessed such unprofessionalism from ‘management’.
