Probably the best Sunday dinner we have ever had at a Pub/restaurant. The beef melted in your mouth, the roast potatoes were obviously home made and were delicious, also plenty of veg including cauliflower, carrots, broccoli. We will definitely return the next time we visit Hythe .

I’ve become quite a regular at The Red Lion. The new owners are brilliant, so welcoming & interactive! It’s a lovely pub to go for drinks, plenty of seating inside & out. The restaurant side is cosy, the menu choices are great, not just the usual pub grub. The food is tasty, presented well with great service from the team. All very affordable. Everything about this place is great

Would not recommend- the landlord was shouting until 1 am and I could hear everything. The breakfast I pre-ordered upon check in was not available in the morning too. Significantly overpriced overall.Rooms: The room itself was alright. The bed was comfortable and the duvet was warm. The bathroom was not great, it felt very sterile. On top of that the drain in the sink was stuck closed and the shower did not work. I was only informed upon checking out that I needed to leave the shower on for 15 minutes before water would flow. The toilet also didn’t flush properly.

What a wonderful friendly pub. The food is amazing. The staff are very friendly. First class service. We ate there Tuesday evening and returned Wednesday evening for a two-course festive menu before travelling back to Germany. Delicious! We were even presented with a surprise bottle of Prosecco. Thank you so much. We will be back Merry Christmas ?

Dropped in late afternoon and instantly felt welcome in this friendly pub. Asked about food and sat down and orders were taken. The food arrived in good time and was the perfect size needed on what was a miserable day (British weather) with our food being very tasty and generous in size. Left feeling more than happy, full and ready to face the bleak weather.
