We went for a day trip in Dover yesterday and was in the area looking for an open restaurant nearby— the pub was still closed but they let us used the restroom — met their lovely dog Maggie as well. Thanks for the kindness!

I must give a 100 score for the host. They are friendly and kind indeed! As travellers from London, we were trying to find a toilet here, although the restaurant not in the time for open but the owner still provided the convenience for us. Thank you so much! Maggie is friendly as well! ?All the best!

We did a same day booking to get a really good value room here. Was a lovely place and very cosy piano lounge we sat and just relaxed there. Food was lovely there. No pub noise when in room. Really enjoyed our stay & will go back!

Arrived at hotel around 5pm… had a few drinks in bar. Woke up the next morning, (Sunday) wanting a bath… there was no plug so waited till 8am for the main building to open, went down and spoke to a lady, who was very unhelpful… said it was there yesterday… I will check with the cleaner when she is next in…this was very useful as I needed to have a bath … there was a shower, but I didn’t want to get my hair wet… and also I am paying you for a service , I was not able to use. Was told she didn’t have another plug. With no sorry. Breakfast was really nice, great products used, shame the vinegar was 2 years out of date ….

Fantastic location for exploring this area. But your room (1) was small. The view was the tiles of the roof. The room was very warm the bed was super comfy. The shower adequate. Our room was just above beer courtyard. So there was conversation noise and the smell of cigarettes.

Stayed for 1 night recently. The website looks very nice and overall the 2 rooms we had were clean. When we arrived we realised there was no car parking which is a pain as there is very limited places to park. The owners were friendly enough and we were able to check in early. I booked this as there is a pub attached however it doesn't open until 6pm so off to Deal for food. This actually was a better option, lovely seaside town and was able to sit on the seafront and have a lovely meal. The beds are rock hard, it's like sleeping on the cliffs at Dover and the pillows are as flat as a pancake. Didn't get much sleep to be honest and the noise from pub didn't help either. It cost just over £200 for 2 rooms. Owners really need to sort out the beds and pillows. Not much you can do about the pub noise though

Nice hotel, 5 rooms, good beds, very friendly staff (really!), and fabulous full English breakfast! Even got hot water for our own teabags (daughter loves strawberry tea). Coffee pots are beautiful, and coffee is good. The outside terrace and tables need some repairs. But as it was raining, we didn't mind. Cannot rate dinner food as we arrived late due to loads of tailbacks to Dover. Ideal for a night before taking the ferry.Rooms: Simpele kamers met goede en schone bedden, genoeg hoofdkussens ook.

Following a funeral at Ringwould church, one of the mourners knocked on the door of this pub, which, it being a wet weekday lunchtime, was shut, and the landlord opened it especially for us, made us very welcome and gave us excellent service in this old, atmospheric and very comfortable pub. It is conveniently situated midway between Dover and Deal, close to the main road, and also provides accommodation. I asked the landlord if it was normal for a closed pub to open on request. He thought not! Highly recommended.
