We have been a couple of times now for drinks on a dog walk and also for food! Super dog friendly and everyone is so lovely! Will definitely be revisiting

Visited the Stanhope for Sunday lunch and was deeply disappointed. The food took nearly an hour and a half to arrive and was woefully over cooked. Burnt roast potatoes, burnt cauliflower cheese and pastry that was rock hard.My Son was treating me to a birthday lunch, but this was nothing at all special, and at £40 a head, very much over priced.

Never disappointing here. The food is always consistently amazing and the service is great. Beautiful place with a top notch drink selection. It’s cheap and all around an amazing experience, not much reason to go anywhere else in the area!

Lovely stop for lunch, staff very helpful. Food was lovely, and pub had a nice warm atmosphere. Put too busy, parking 50m down the road in church car park (free)

This afternoon I had the pleasure of visiting The Stanhope Arms.Throughout my visit, from the point of entering the venue to my exit, myself and my party made to feel very welcome. We smiled at from the bar by a very welcoming gentleman behind the bar, whom I later found out to be Chris. We were given Sunday menus and we were shown to a table where our drinks order was taken. We all chose different items from the menu however this did not prove any sort of an issue as relatively quickly, when the time came for the food to come all meals were not only presented beautifully and looking incredibly appetising the taste did not disappoint either. With some of the party then going on to order puddings as well. This is one of the best meals we have had out for a long time, which was made all the more enjoyable by the extremely friendly team of the Stanhope Arms whom it would appear are one great big welcoming family.Thoroughly recommend the Katsu Curry, The Stanhope Burger, The Sunday Roasts, with Beef, Gammon and Turkey being big hits with the group and the waffle for pudding.

First visit here, on a Thursday lunchtime.Pleasant enough staff.Nice traditional pub with modern decor.Had the katsu curry which I thought was a bit watery and overpriced for the standard.Had the syrup sponge and custard which was delicious. More custard would be welcome.Pub isn't responsible for their customers conduct...but seeing 3 mums boozing at lunchtime swearing in front of a young child I thought was pretty trashy. Unfortunately that was my takeaway memory. Sometimes Kent is the garden of England...sometimes it's just Essex south of the river.

The syrup sponge pudding is good. The Katsu curry wasn't up to Wagamammas' standard but is dearer. A great old building with generic decoration. The 3 prosecco mums effing like tradies in front of a 3 year old did nothing to encourage me to want to return.

nice but they started clearing the table before everyone had finished, a bit unprofessional i think, but nice

Being my first visit I didn't know what to expect but I needn't have worried. This pub is equally welcome to diners as well as those just fancying a drink in convivial surroundings. The food was excellent (the short crust pastry around the beef pie was perfect!) and the locally sourced beer was spot on. I just wish I'd found it sooner!

Best fish and chips in Sevenoaks. Food is generally excellent. Hot and freshly cooked. Toilets are kept spotless.
