This is a fantastic country pub which has an amazing ambience, some what busier than expected but it makes sense due to the selection of beers and great food. There is a bustling bar area and a separate restaurant dining area. They were very accommodating towards my 4 year old and the waitress was very attentive towards conversing with her which was lovely. A great pub that is going from strength to strength,,The food is of restaurant quality and not your average pub grub,,I've slowly eaten my way through the menu,,It's also updated every few months,A good choice of drinks on draught and some nice wines,,It's certainly a hidden little gem

Being my first visit I didn't know what to expect but I needn't have worried. This pub is equally welcome to diners as well as those just fancying a drink in convivial surroundings. The food was excellent (the short crust pastry around the beef pie was perfect!) and the locally sourced beer was spot on. I just wish I'd found it sooner!
