The family decided to eat out this year for Christmas and chose the hungry horse in Margate. It was a disaster as the food was either wrong or inedible. The lady serving us was argumentative and moody. They got meals wrong and the meals were missing bits. Half the puddings were not available. Spoke to manager who blamed head office. Staff couldn’t care less that our Christmas dinner was ruined.Would like to add that the staff including manager was extremely argumentative. A girl called Molly decided to come to the table and blame us for the poor service and missing items from meals. I asked her to please leave us alone but it took until the manager told her to go into the kitchen. A full refund was given but no apology. The manager said ‘you’ve had a refund, what more do you want’. The whole episode ended with staff shouting at us in front of 3 small children. The only member of staff that treated us like human beings was the lady in the red jumper. The manager should be ashamed of hers and her staffs conduct.

The food was lovely until we got to the salad, the lettuce was rotten on each plate. We told a lady at the bar and she said she would let them know. Atmosphere wasn't great and no one came to check how our food was. A grim

Where do I begin? First off, I went to the wrong place so that was pretty tough. Not the best start to my day, but the taxi man had a well posh car. When I finally arrived, I firstly noticed that they had the same Christmas decorations as my mum which made me feel very at home. Reminded me of Christmas 2003 when I got a barbie scooter from "santa"(turns out it was from my parents) but anyway, I digress...I noticed that they offer two different kinds of lasagne, if I am to be critical I would suggest adding a third.I am sad that they were out of fish. I know our oceans are dying but I really wanted fish and chips.Staff were nice and we got to change tables 4 times until we felt comfortable and I had a good view of the smoking area.4 stars, would come again if desperate. Thanks for your service.P.s, which horse is the restaurant named after? I don't really trust horses and there's lots of better animals to name a chain after (I would suggest maybe dog).

Highly recommended. Our food was served by Molly, thank you, which was made by chef, Jordan, thank you also. Fantastic standard - very hot and extremely well-presented. Very clean surroundings, pleasant atmosphere and brilliant value to boot! We will most certainly be coming back. Happy Christmas to all staff members.Parking: Plenty, not a problem in the least.

Great service from Jamie and Trish . Despite being busy. Was able to swap things in menu also being veggie. Shame no vegetarian Xmas dinner but other options available.

We had the roast. If you're about 10 it's enough. The cauliflower or stalk should I say was hard, the mash was just one desert spoonful, 2 small bits of plastic meat, the frozen roasties were left for too long & had hardly any filling. Even at £15 for 2, I wouldn't buy it again. I had to cook dinner when I got home.Parking: Lots of free parking, after eating I understand why on a Sunday afternoon only a handful of people where in there, It used to be busy on a Sunday
