Warm welcome from the owners, plenty of space to park outside the hotel. Check-in is at the bar, and the entrance to the rooms is separate and is off to the side of the building. The room was clean and spacious, with a kettle for tea and coffee. Just up the road from the main town and not too far from the seafront .Walkability: Dreamland and Margate seafront about a 20-minute walk, depending on your speed of walking.Food & drinks: The bar downstairs serves food and drink. Across the road is a convenience shop and a couple of takeaways.

A welcoming local pub where you get the look...you know you are a stranger... OK you are from down the road...or somewhere else on the planet ...but then the welcome smiles start and you are served with a smile...and the locals are hospitable, and the place is clean as well as cosy... and the laughter and conviviality starts.

Friday 15th December 2023I stopped in room 2 of this pub/ hotel on Thursday, 14th DecemberThe room was great. The bed was comfy, the central heating was good, and the bathroom ample sized well laid out shame no shower jel like. There was good free coffee and condiments to make it in the roomTv a bit on the small size, but OKThe reason I did not give 5 stars was that 4 was the pub , on the bar, it had 4 handpumps, but it did not have any hand pumped real ales on this as a real ale drinkers I found to be poor so only 4 stars given sadly

Can't comment on the rooms as I've not stayed there but the pub is a good place and has everything I like to see - good selection at the bar and reasonable prices (£1 cheaper than my local in Canterbury), friendly staff and manager, jukebox, dart board, pool table, quiz machines and fruities if that's your thing as well as a nice spacious garden.

Hosts and staff were very welcoming. The food in the pub was delicious. Rooms were a little tired but clean, very comfortable and reasonable in cost. One concern I did have was about the room being above a pub, I was assured by the host that any noise from the pub would be finished by 11:30pm (it was) however with the windows and curtains in the room closed you could hardly hear it.It might be a situated a little outside of Margate but it was very easy to get to, about 20min walk into Margate (buses directly from the town / station stop very close to the hotel)

Stayed at The Hussar for 3 nights. Room was large although a bit noisy due to the proximity of the main road. Bathroom again large with a powerful over bath shower. Plenty of hot water. Food at The Hussar is recommended my partner had the Chilli and was very impressed. Hosts very welcoming.

We used the Hussar for a function (wake), the buffet was excellent and service was outstanding. Dave and Michelle made us all feel welcome at a time of sadness . Would definitely recommend the Hussar for party's, functions etc.

Was a good price but very disappointed was clean bed was comfortable. No chair tho and it said it a 15 min walk believe me it far from a 15 min walk we timed ourselves it took a steady 25 mins so bit to far out for us , it was friendly but lots of noise next door bedroom you can hear every thing from boiling the kettle to opening wardrobe to having a pee! etc felt like they was in our room studded walls so was awake at 5, 30, along with the neighbours so a nightmare when u want to sleep longer , I wanted a cuppa but no milk , no breakfast nor do they supply even if you want to pay for one so a let down , it served a purpose for one night but I wouldn’t come back and to be honest there’s a premier in. Next door to station that we didn’t know about so in future it’s worth paying the extra it seems !! It right on top of everything !

Can't comment on the hotel side of things. But for a pub and the food 5 stars. Try the Thai menu. Absolutely delicious and reasonably priced. Other food just as good. The owners and the staff are friendly and welcoming which really makes a difference in a pub.
