Visited Greatstone to spend time by the sea and decided on this pub for late lunch and presented with great pub grub and Elvis to boot!!! Great atmosphere, with great singing and lots of costume changes! Was a fun afternoon, the Elvis impersonator was fab and really got the crowd going. If in the area highly recommend the pub. The locals are very friendly as well as are the bar staff.

A quick drink and carvery after a refreshing nye walk along the coast. Stopped there today as family of 5 after a chilly coastal walk. Great reception on doorway from owner who welcomed us in despite them setting up for their NYE party. Cold drinks and a quick carvery enjoyed by all which was fabulous. Many thanks for the hearty reception, will certainly visit again! Hope your party goes well tonight!

2022 Friendly local pub. No ale on draught but got some in bottles2023 update, Ubu pure on tap, a solid 3.5 out of 5, high praise from me!Quiet this late in the season on a Thursday at 13:00h, the owner is friendly though and the kitchen is open nonetheless.Busier Thursday Friday and Saturday nights with special events such as Halloween fancy dress (see their Facebook page ;-) ).

Excellent Sunday Carvery with good choice of meats and vegetables. Fast friendly service. Big meat portions justify the highish price - beef £18. Gets busy so best to book.

Went in for dinner with my cousin and our two children in the dinning area. We see two dirty nappies left on the window ledge and a family next to us had a dog up at the table.I fully understand that it's a dog friendly place but to have the dog up at the table is just unhygienic!Ordered drinks at the bar and both my glass and my cousins were dirty so we asked for another... they was also both dirty. So we asked for a can and a bottle which were warm as the fridge wasn't working so we decided to leave the drinks and also the food. The person serving us had to keep asking us to wait a minute while he went to bring other customers their food.Shame really as we was looking forward to eating in there but the dog, nappies and dirty glasses were a massive put off.

My husband had the beef madras curry and said it best curry he has had in years. I had cheddar burger with homemade coleslaw and salad it was enormous. Sister in law had veggie curry and said it was really good too. Polite staff all round.

Had Sunday carvery (you need to book in advance) and it was excellent. Plenty of meat and good choice of veg, suds and desserts. Deffo going back ?Parking: Plenty of spaces.Wheelchair accessibility: All ground floor accessible, doors are wide enough, so no issues.

Walked in seemed ok inside and outside till I see a dog up at the table with guest and dirty nappies on the window ledge that someone had left then going to the bar and the clean cups was dirty so we left wouldn't recommend this place at allReplying to your rude response..If your place is dog friendly or not however there should not be a dog sitting on a chair up at a dinner table fullstop and for you saying you don't use cups you knew exactly what I meant there was 3 GLASSES YOU HAD USED TO PUT MY DRINKS INTO AND EVERY SINGLE ONE WAS DIRTY 1.BITS OF LEMON AROUND THE GLASS 2.SOME RED STUFF AROUND THE TOP OF ANOTHER GLASS 3.LIPSTICK AROUND THE TOP OF ANOTHER GLASS THE RESPONSE WAS ITS ONLY LIPSTICK ALL GLASSES SHOULD BE CLEANED PROPERLY also for 2 dirty nappies by the window they was still there when myself and the others I was with left there 5 minutes later the table was already cleaned may I add you have to give me a refund for my drinks also due to the dirty GLASSES

A beautiful example of what pubs used to be in the best way - friendly staff, honest food, and decor that gave me a flashback to my childhood. This is the opposite from a gastropub. We came for Sunday lunch without a booking and they fitted us in. The food was tasty, was it the most amazing Sunday roast I’ve ever eaten? Maybe not (however the roast potatoes were simply amazing), but it was a decent, tasty carvery with good meat and staff who obviously cared about food and making their customers happy. Strongly recommended for the experience and atmosphere.

What a find! When holidaying in the area we always return to this great pub and restaurant. A fantastic family run place with the right mixture of everything. We loved the Saturday music summer session and we weren’t the only ones! It’s clearly very popular with holidaymakers and locals alike. The new menu brought us even more choice than before and we all enjoyed our meals. The staff were friendly and helpful and seemed genuinely happy to work here.

Wow, what a lovely place! We, a family of 4, had the Sunday roast and it was perfection. We all tried a different meats and the sides and sauces were delicious. One of the best roasts we've ever had. The chef was helpful and talked about the cooking process also! Also it's great that little ones can get a baby bowl of roast alongside their parents. As for the pub, it's decorated very cosily in a prime location opposite the beach and with ample parking. Another commendation to the staff, they are very welcoming and helpful. We only booked our table 30 mins before and they responded to every message. The landlady was present talking to lots of customers and the place has a very upbeat friendly atmosphere. Will def return, we loved it.

It was really busy & we had to wait for our food. We were happy to wait. However the food was not worth the wait, the famous batter was not cooked through on my prawns, the salad was bistro that you can buy in any supermarket & frozen chips. I can do this at home & like to eat locally sourced food, but that should be freshly made to me by the chef. The decor was very tired & depressing & there was a terrible smell of damp by our seats. Would not go back.
