I took my father for a lunch time meal. All the staff were really welcoming and friendly. Nothing seemed too much trouble. This was the second visit for me and on both occasions I was really impressed with the efforts they made to cater for my vegan diet. Because of the service and the delicious quality of the food I am going to take my father again for a pre Christmas treat.

Went in here with someone I support. We had meals each. He had a chilli and I had cheese burger loaded chips. Absolutely banging meals. edit* had the chilli loaded chips today, without a doubt, the best chilli I've ever eaten in a pub or restaurant.

We had a really lovely carvery. We have visited a few times previously but the carvery was definitely nicer than it use to be. The meat was cooked perfectly and the roast potatoes were very tasty. Nice to enjoy a good carvery and really good Portions of meat. The only thing that was a bit disappointing was the young lady’s who were waitressing. We ordered our drinks which were served promptly then she came back to take our order, we all had the carvery. She said she was going to get our tickets, we waited about 20 minutes for her to walk past us twice dealing with another 2 families. My husband asked for the tickets and she said she would go get them. It wasn’t very busy as only a few tables in use. When we asked for the bill, she came back with the bill, I asked to pay by card, she said she would get the card reader. She never returned. I waited about 10 minutes with no sign of anyone returning so I waited up by the till. The phone was ringing for a while and one young girl eventually returned and was on the call and giving me the card reader to pay at the same time . I think that a little tweak with the not forgetting bits and a bit better customer service and it would have been a really great place to go. Like I say it wasn’t busy so couldn’t probly understand if it as busy. I think people could just walk out and not pay if they were dishonest and not even go noticed. The two lady’s seemed quite young and maybe it needs a supervisor there to help and support them.

I booked a Table for 5 Friends & Myself for the Sunday Carvery and what a Feast it was. We arrive with our two little Dogs has well we eat in the Gin bar just right. We all went for the two meat option to be fair I don’t think I could have got through 3 meats it was Lovely plenty you don’t come out there saying Ian hungry that’s for sure . We had a sweat I don’t know how I got inside me. The staff were Cracking Highly recommend and will go back when we are down that way again. Thank you to all the staff for making us welcome and for a Great Sunday Dinner.

We came for lunch on our way to stay at a holiday park. We arrived a few minutes before opening time and the door was already open. The staff were extremely welcoming and friendly. The pub was very quiet. We all ordered a drink and chose from the extensive menu. We had 3 x baguettes and 2 all day breakfasts. The food was very good, good vfm and great quality. So glad we decided to stop here. Clean toilets and parking available . Definitely worth a visit if in the area.

Great atmosphere, incredible food! Good choice of beer and the owners and staff are amazing! This place is a must to visit if you’re in the area!

This was recommended as a great place to eat. Our experience was anything but great, the servers were really rude, some of the food was only just warm, the ribs were not cooked, one meal returned as cold, can of coke just put on the table and told by the server they were to busy to pour from the pump. The prawn cocktail was good.No apologies until the manager was called to our table. She did take some items off our bill.Would not recommend.

Me and my wife came away to new Romney for the weekend and ended up having dinner 2 nights on the spin in the plough inn because it was that good! Both nights food was lovely to eat with unbelievably large portions, we have definitely put on weight just from this pub. All the food we were served was cooked well and nice and hot with plenty of choice aswell. The waitresses were really nice aswell as the bar staff . We were recommended this pub and I’m so glad we came ,if I ever come back to this area the first place I pop into will be the plough inn , excellent job by all there .

I have never left a Trip Advisor review before and am not really a complainer but I felt that the reviews of the Plough were not true of the experience we had on Sunday. We booked into the Plough for Sunday carvery as we were staying at the local caravan park. After reading the reviews we were looking forward to a nice lunch unfortuately we found the food to be inedible. The roast potatoes, carrots and brocolli were hard to the point you wouldn't cut them. We didn't try the beef as it looked dry and overcooked but the turkey and gammon were nice. The stuffing balls were so dry and powdery that they fell apart, into dust when you cut into them. Overall the only thing edible was turkey/gammon and the yorkshire puddings. We didn't bother staying for pudding and promised the kids an icecream back at the caravan site. We also felt that the £60 bill for 2 adults and 2 children was overpriced.

We are staying locally, even though we live locally and decided we would try The Plough and we weren’t disappointed…. 2 of us had Cod, Peas and Chips, 1 Ham, Egg and Chips and a Child’s Lasagne and it was delicious. We didn’t have to wait long, presented well and definitely good value for money. Large portions, maybe to large as we could not manage pudding unfortunately. We certainly will be back to try your Sunday Roast. Thank you
