Perfect cafe. Extensive menu with everything prepared just as you'd want. Nothing fancy - does what it says on the tin. Always busy, always friendly. Highly

Very friendly atmosphere and run business in Paddock Wood. Good location as well, right opposite the train station and at the end of the high street. Will eat in next time.

Got out of the habit of having breakfast before Waitrose shopping (yes COVID changed our routine) popped in last week and this week. The tea is perfect (that's important) the food is displayed to look good and you can taste all the separate flavours. This a place to enjoy your breakfast or what ever you like. For a foody like me perfect. Opps nearly forgot light airy and super clean. The staff are very helpful. 5 ⭐ plus for me.Kid-friendliness: From what I have seen the staff welcome children and are very helpful. As an aside comment all the staff are excellent, that a big comment from me as I don't like poor service. Again 5 ⭐Wheelchair accessibility: Seen in the past other customers use the café

Had a veggie breakfast with the wife before our weekly shop earlier. It is located opposite Paddock Wood train station and its the perfect go-to before or after shopping. We'd heard great things about The Village Cafe from our neighbours so we thought it is on the way to the supermarket and we hadn't had breakfast.Have to say the welcome was warm and friendly, the breakfasts we had were top draw perfect and coffee was just fantastic.Excellent value for money, massive portions, excellent fast speedy service, nothing too much trouble for the staff and again the coffee was out of this world. Veggies and vegans like me catered for also. One of the nicest all-day breakfasts we've had and they even do a delicious bubble and squeak something you don't find often on many menus these days. It's definitely worth a visit if you're in Paddock Wood and your hungry. We'll definitely be visiting again when we do our next Saturday shop at the local Waitrose. I recon this could be a regular trip. It's got to be a wicked 1000/1000 rating from me as i said top draw delicious dining, fantastic value for money, awsome friendly staff, awesome coffee. Wish I'd taken some pics. I will do next time i visit, thanks guys it was a real pleasure to dine with you.

Fed up of my undercooked overcooked luke warm hotel brekkie, decided to treat myself and wasn’t disappointed.. bubbly, jovial staff, cracking breakfast, worth getting up early

Food was pretty good, although a bit dissapointing that no tea, toast or bread served with a brekfast. Big brekfast was nice but ive certainly had bigger breakfasts for less money. When asking if tea or toast was included the young man came across a bit abrupt. NO.

I popped in for a takeaway cup of tea, didn’t realise it was cash only. I didn’t quite have enough change as I never carry cash but the friendly guy on the counter gave me the tea anyway. Very kind and made my morning. The place was bustling and the breakfasts looked fantastic. A proper caff. Thank you!

Food is not terrible service is however. They don't take card, they are not welcoming. I was pretty much kicked out and made to feel unwelcome because I wouldn't share a table with someone. I wanted my own space to eat my breakfast, is that really too much too ask? We'll it is here the fact a company can be established for so many years and still not take card parliament. They are dodging taxes and defo ha e illegal stuff going on behind the scenes. Honestly wouldn't surprise me if this place launder money for local drug dealers it's that kind of place.

Use to go to this cafe quite a lot. Food is OK to be fair, but staff friendliness and how welcome you are made to feel is the worst I've experienced. Went here after a long motobike ride to grab some breakfast a few months back, was told I am taking up too much space on my own table and if I wanted to order I would have to share a table with a lady coughing her guts up and smelling like stale cigerettes. There was a dozen spare tables, I declined and left never to have returned again. They dont take card and 100% tax dodgers. Avoid this cafe, its run by scummos. HMRC should 100% investigate.

Breakfast was OK but I'd expect bread or toast included with the main breakfast.Bacon was over cooked and hard to chew.

On a flying visit back to Sussex from Devon needed breakfast after a 0500 hrs start. Popped into Paddock Wood in search of some bacon and eggs. Saw the Village Cafe and parked up. Thought it was a traditional Greasy Spoon Diner and ideal for a fry up. Very busy on a July Saturday mid morning with locals was a good sign. I was wrong about the greasy spoon....it's a traditional old fashioned London cafe but worlds apart. The place is immaculate, tables continually cleared and cleaned. The kitchen with the brigade cooking you can see when ordering is also spotless and organised. A hearty warm welcome from Chris I think it is - a Londoner like me. Now the thing is I can't have Gluten or Lactose so just asked for Bacon and Eggs and black coffee. To my delight and surprise I was told they have gluten free hash browns and sausages so got tempted and went for the lot. (I rarely have a cooked breakfast, literally couple of times a year). The sausage was tasty, the bacon and eggs perfectly cooked as were the hash browns. The coffee was nice strong flavour and again proper ground bean to cup not instant. The staff couldn't be more helpful or efficient. Great friendly old fashioned service with a smile but the food and surroundings top notch and up to date. I'm only disappointed I live so far away I can't go more often.
