Not Impressed, small portions for the price and the Berry crumble was a bowl of stewed fruit with a fine sprinkle of biscuit crumb on top. wouldn't go back.

Heard a lot about this pub and was keen to try it out. However, the meal I chose for a vegetarian option, was appalling. Mushrooms were few and far between, luke warm, dry and mostly pasta. Tasteless and dull in the extreme. Pls up your game if you wish to welcome people of all tastes and dietary requirements. There are a lot of us out there now…: Gave two stars as the waiter was pleasant. Toilets need an upgrade.

What a lovely gem of a pub. We had the Sunday roast. I had pork which was the best roast pork I’ve had in ages. My other half had the roast trio which again was really tasty. Very friendly staff, nice atmosphere and we will definitely be back. It’s five ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ from us. Happy Christmas ?Vegetarian options: They did have a vegetarian wellington in the Sunday menu.

We enjoyed an excellent lunch here, delicious food. The service was very good too.Very pleasant decor etc though it was a little chilly... probably as it was a weekday and only half full. However we will most definitely go again!

All good! Cocktails very good. Lovely log fire, friendly staff. The optional 20% service charge is a bit cheeky and leaves one embarrassed by reducing it which is not what you want customers to feel.

Excellent food. Menu not over complicated but a good variety and the service was friendly.

Went here with my family for Sunday lunch. Ryan provided very good service and the lady in charge was very friendly and chatted to out children. Food was good, everyone enjoyed theirs. Best chocolate brownie and icecream I've ever tasted.

We finally made it to the Papermakers Arms for Sunday lunch. Very welcoming staff and good atmosphere. There is a good selection on the menu but we went straight for the Sunday roast. All the vegetables were well cooked and lovely roast potatoes but the beef was not so clever. Both of us had slices that were very tough. The flavour of the fast majority of the meat was very good, however these very tough pieces spoiled an excellent meal.Enjoyed the experience, think we were just unlucky. You must book ahead, the car park is quite small. There is plenty of outside seating for the summer.

3rd visit ..well worth the drive Excellent food and choices …meal arrived well presented and it was hot …. If you want the best burgers EVER try theirs. Had Nachos as well each time ( enough for 2) .. Can’t beat them…. The staff was so friendly and dedicated to her job.

Evening out with friends at the Papermakers, Plaxtol. What a lovely village pub. The Service was faultless, staff were friendly and the food was just amazing. I had the Miso Cod, which was a very enjoyable dish, well cooked and looked amazing on the plate. There was a lovely open fire and great atmosphere. Will definitely go back...

The food is ok. If you're already in Plaxtol and don't fancy washing up. I wouldn't journey out here just to eat at the papermakers.
