We stayed at The Red Lion recently, and we were very impressed with the whole stay. All of the staff were friendly, helpful, and polite. We had two excellent meals there, both amazing, and breakfast was exceptionally good. Our room was comfortable, clean and well equipped. Car parking was no problem. We'd like to visit again sometime.

Where to start…? Well, the pub itself is lovely, set in a beautiful village. The staff and even the local regulars were friendly and welcoming. The service was efficient and warming. The food was exceptional. We only planned to eat once at the Red Lion as we were only on a short visit to the area however after our first meal we made sure to come back the following evening. Our second meal was as good as the first. My only regret was not being able to eat my way through the rest of the menu!Oh, nearly forgot, they are super dog friendly and our two German shepherds were made to feel just as welcome as we were.

My partner and I stayed here whilst walking the pilgrim way and were blown away!We were not sure what to expect as the location is a little remote, but the service was impeccable and the standard of our room in the guesthouse was amazing. Pristine furnishings, super comfy bed, smart tv, complimentary drinks, USB chargers in all the sockets, lovely toiletries and teas and coffees. We can also highly recommended the breakfast! The team took great care of us and were able to accommodate our late check in (which was much appreciated after a long day of walking!). Watching the sun set in the evening with a pint was the best feeling. Thanks again!

We held my aunts wake here yesterday and was perfect. Close to crematorium. Buffet was an array of sandwiches and quiche with tea and coffee for £10pp. Was provided room on right for as long as we wanted. Claire was super helpful in organising and on the day. Would definitely recommend for wake after crematorium service.

Would give 0 stars if I could. Online says its open and nothing outside to say it's shut, looks like fake reviews of people from last week.Went in to see about having a wake there. Male owner sat there and told us to "Get out he was on a call". Very rude and upsetting.
