For the first time my family felt being ignored because we did not wanted any drinks and only interested in food. For 40 minutes nobody came to take our food order although place got busy only 20minutes after we were sitting already (all new seated customers received their drinks). Ended up getting fish and chips take away from different place. Food on the menu looked promising but we left hungry. Do not like leaving negative reviews but after consulting the family, decided to share our experience.

Given the reviews we were expecting a pleasant meal but it would we were either in a different restaurant or the chef had a hangover. Our starters of lobster thermidor (the lobster inners had not been removed, very unappetising) were bland and the beef kofta was mediocre. The main courses of gammon roast had the dryest meat we had ever been given , it appeared to have been left over from lunch service. It seemed to be a common theme as the minted lamb burger was also dry. The vegatables were good but less so the potatoes. We didn't bother with dessert. Beer on tap was good but poor selection of wine. Even though we complained about the food nothing was done. There is really no excuse for poor quality food. The lovely young staff deserve to be supported by better output from kitchen. We won't go back

Had a lovely afternoon at The Oak Hotel's "Resturant sixty six" served by a friendly and attentive lady called Ellis. The menu offered a great choice, we all went for the Bacon cheese burger with brioche bun and home cut chips all of us were pleased with our choice. Ellis was a great hostess and made sure we had a great experience. Highly recommend several tables with views over the harbour.Covid-19 safe and everywhere was spotless.Good choice of drinks. We will be back for the Sunday Roast.

Food quality much better than expected for a pub / Hotel. Accommodated ketogenic diet requirements for my daughter without issues so service and chef are top notch. Anyone who has dietary requirements will understand how important this is because the chains struggle

We were met by a friendly member of staff, she was a little nervous & I asked how long she had worked there & she said it was about her 4th shift. You wouldn’t realise it, as she was professional. My husband had the ‘fish of the day’ & I had chicken ceasar salad, my husband’s fish was really lovely & mine was the best chicken ceasar salad I’ve ever had, (I’ve had quite a few!). I also asked for a red wine spritzer with soda (not lemonade) and the bar tender came to ask which red wine would I like, and I thought that was nice & it was so delicious, I had 2. Our waitress was Olivia, a very sweet girl. The view was really good, opposite the harbour & it was a beautiful sunny day. We had travelled 70 miles to Ramsgate & we would definitely do it again to re-visit this restaurant.
