Went in to collect a takeaway, my order wasn't ready so I was told to go and wait in the pub, I refused as was there to collect my dinner and not stand in a pub on my own as a young female. Perhaps need to rethink set out if offering takeaway as not everyone is going to want to wait in a busy pub. Food was very disappointing, wasn't hot, lamb passanda tasted funny and the lamb seemed to be very chewy (perhaps cheap meat used) also had lamb tikka starter and the meat again was very tough.

As others have experienced, the customer service here isn't very good at all. We had a sit down meal for a family members birthday. The food was mediocre, but the very surly and sour staff really do spoil the dining out experience. If you are used to eating out where the staff try to enhance your experience, to get you to come back, and for you to continue spending money, you will be massively disappointed. There's are plenty of other restaurants you can go to, where the staff actually make you feel like they want you there.Would not recommend.

I have always used Ruby's as my go to Indian take away and I have NEVER had a bad meal....but tonight (and the previous meal we ordered) have been OFF THE CHARTS good! The lamb in the vindaloo literally melted in the mouth, the containers were packed with food, and delivery was quick - please carry on doing what you are doing and you have a customer for life here!!!

Had a wonderful Sunday lunch at Ruby's today. Excellent service, lovely atmosphere, nicely prepared and presented food, good portions and great value, especially with the earlybird discount. Will definitely return soon.

Cannot fault the food, it is absolutely delicious. However, the service itself is quite upsetting. We have done both food in the restaurant and takeaway and the service we received were bad. The waiters would openly be rude to us and talk badly about us behind our back, as if they do not want anyone to be there. Bear in mind, we were the only diners in the restaurant at the time during the evening. When ordering delivery, we had 3 hours delay and every time we spoke to them on the phone, they were rude. The food is the reason that I'm giving it 3 stars, but the staff and management would do with a refresher in customer care skills.

Lovely roast dinner today, me,my partner, 3 children and the dog sat outside and had our roast, 2 pints of coke and 3 slush puppies all for less than 45 quid bargain and decent grub even includes cauliflower cheese ?

Love eating in. However they have a delivery driver for their take away with a red Toyota iygo who is the rudest woman. She was 15 minutes late and was lost, refused to follow directions and threatened to drive off. We had to walk 10 minutes to meet her. She shouted at us and at a neighbour. Only bad experience with them but may be best not to order take out from here.

Yesterday my husband and I visited Ruby's at the Medway Inn because it was my birthday, and we like to go out for a birthday treat meal. This one was particularly special because my husband broke his strict diet of over 6 months to accompany me.I wish we hadn't.We have been regulars at Ruby's and have enjoyed many lovely meals there even going so far as to recommend the place to our friends and family. We have both eaten in and had takeaways from here.I ordered my favourite chicken jalfrezi and my husband chose his favourite chicken naga. We also had starters. For my starter I ordered a prawn dish which came with both salad and fried onions. I thought it odd but left the onions as they didn't really fit with the rest of the dish. When my jalfrezi arrived, I attempted to scoop out my sauce, which I love but found that all I got was a spoonful of fried onions in a little bit of sauce. It was fried onion overload. I mentioned it to my husband as he had ordered a different dish, and his was the same. There was also not the flavour there used to be.Has the chef changed? Why was this meal so very different to all the rest we have had there? It's almost as though they are filling up their dishes with fried onion to hide the fact that you are getting less chicken.Needless to say, it only takes one bad meal... we will not be returning, and we will no longer recommend Ruby's to our friends and family.Such a shame it had to be like this on such a special occasion.

First visit and very impressed. Good atmosphere, friendly staff. Food was excellent and very reasonable. Our waiter went above and beyond offering us a lift home after our meal as we had problems booking a cab.
