Had an amazing burger here to celebrate a graduation at the cathedral.
The restaurant is really nicely designed and everything was carefully curated, down to the teapot and cup!
Food was excellent, we ordered the onion bhaji burger, buttermilk chicken burger and smoke double stack. Portions are generous! Highly recommend this place, lovely ambience too.

Love this place, been a few times with friends and family. And recently went to one of their social events Blood on the clock tower. Glad I went was nervous to go having never been to something like this before and not played the game before. The staff are very welcoming, friendly and helpful. I love to go to this Pub, be it for a coffee/drink with a friend/s, or on my own, or a meal. The amosphere always feels welcoming. The owner Rob & I have become good friends over the past couple of years. Rob is friendly with everyone. His new Partners, Stacie, Andy & Staff are always friendly & obliging, also you are never rushed with your meals. I had Mac Cheese last week, which was delicious. My friend ate every morsel of her Gammon meal & thoroughly enjoyed it. Some friends alway's enjoy the Sausage & Mash onthe £12 Meal Deal. The food choices are of a good range, with some new additions. They alway's have some great Events going on, plus live Music. Various Event's coming up for Halloween. And I dare say Christmas too. I would highly recommend Visiting the Three Crutches

We celebrated my brother’s 30th birthday at Padrinos, and the team couldn’t have been more attentive or friendly. Despite a huge crowd gathered around the bar (making it tricky for them to even get pizzas to other tables!), the staff kept smiling and never let it faze them.

They handled our big group of 15 brilliantly - taking countless drink orders, accepting last-minute additions to the food, and making sure everything arrived smoothly. When it came to the birthday cake, they were more than happy to serve it up (with the vanilla ice cream we politely ordered on the side), which made the celebration extra special.

The atmosphere was lively but welcoming, and there was plenty of fun for the little ones too. All in all, the service made the evening feel easy and enjoyable, which is no small feat with such a large party. A huge thank you to the Padrinos team for helping make my brother’s milestone birthday so memorable!

I’ve been coming here for many years every so often, with friends and family.
If you enter the door from the car park side you need to be quite strong as it’s something my Sister struggled with. Once inside the atmosphere is very comforting and relaxing and always nice music playing in the background.
Food wise basically you get what you pay for, unequivocal value for money. Some meals are lovely and others not so much from the meal deals… but as I said you get what you pay for.
My 3 sons love their favourite meals from here, hence why we always return.
Compared to other food venues it’s highly recommended and not as expensive as most places. Most of the staff are very friendly and professional.
I recommend this place and overall I’ve never had any issues over time and enjoy eating here.
Definitely a nice place to enjoy with your friends and family.

Edit: wasn’t impressed on returning today. While My Son and myself was eating our food at our table, a waitress put a sign down saying table booked for 6:30… My Son was stressing that we had to move and was agitated.
Ruined our meal.
Apparently you being at a table already means nothing here!
I wouldn’t have minded at all if the sign was on the Table before we got there. Seems unethical and made us feel second best.
We moved and I won’t be back for a while…

Edit- Returning after a few months away, my Son and myself had a lovely mixed grill, very tasty and so filling. We both thoroughly enjoyed our meals.

Its a lovely place. Appreciate they source in the main local suppliers. The welcome was good. Quick to take us to our table. Cocktails were lovely. We ordered floater coffees...over sugared and too sweet. Overall great quality and worth another visit.

From February: Wanted a good chinese and realised there were so few online now. Found this one with a Google search. Called up a few times to check specifics as we didn't have a menu and trying to use the images off of Facebook. Went to pick up (only) and they were busy but very friendly. I love seeing kitchens working, especially cleaning up - makes me feel reasured. When I left i got in the car and was trying to check if I had everything when I realised I was missing the curry sauce, lovely gentleman was already on his way over to check if something was missing, he rushed off and returned with it.

The food itself: duck was nice, chilli beef and chow mein were a little dry, something I will remember to say next time.

Highly recommended. Having visited friends locally we were (almost) ready to head back to London … but felt a little peckish. Just as well we spotted Ozzie’s Plaice.
Excellent cod & chips. Batter hot, light and crisp, as were the chips (not the greasy, limp, lukewarm variety often encountered in such establishments). Spotless premises; welcoming reception.
We had to wait while hoards of locals – obviously happy return customers – were catered for. A solid endorsement.
Massive portions so kept the rest for lunch next day. ??
As Mr Michelin would say: “Worth the detour”. Bravo!

Saveloy and chips was my order, lets start with the negatives first, cash only, saveloy was little too firm, overcooked slightly and wish it was in a tray not wrapped up. Now, the good, its advertised as a chippy but its a chippy come Chinese blend, it was a mix of Chinese style chips and a English chipshop chips, it was neither and both at the same time, it was the best chips I've had in months. Salt and vinegar, perfect. Honestly really enjoyed them, the saveloy was nice in taste, good in colour, sadly too firm to enjoy fully. The staff was friendly and smiled, the outside it was like walking to a Chinese/chippy from the early 2000s, it just had a vibe, you'll know what I mean when you go. You should go, sadly didn't try the curry tonight but im sure one of you will.

Mrs Tickit's Pantry

We hired Mrs Tickits Pantry following the heartbreaking loss of our baby, and I honestly can’t say enough about how wonderful the two ladies running it were. There were 16 of us in attendance, ordering at different times, and nothing was too much trouble. Every single meal was cooked fresh, piping hot, and exactly as we wanted, even though we all ordered in staggers! We had a real mix of food between us, and the ladies handled it all with patience and genuine care. The atmosphere in the pantry was so warm and comforting, which made such a difference on a difficult day. They even welcomed our sausage dog, Nugget, letting him roam free around the pantry without a fuss he was off the lead the whole time, and the ladies were totally happy with it. If you’re looking for somewhere that truly cares about its guests, with delicious food and a homely feel, I can’t recommend Mrs Tickits Pantry enough. Thank you so much to both ladies for making a hard day that little bit easier for all of us.

Been a regular for 15 years. The lamb doner meat is just not the same anymore. It's dry and like paper. The chicken, though, is superb—definitely recommend that. The portion sizes are all over the place because they keep switching up the container/tray sizes—something's going downhill. They often mess up the orders. The salads are generally overloaded with onion. It's a shame, because I'm finding myself disappointed more and more often. I recently had a brilliant lamb doner at Echo's Kebab in Gravesend... it blew me away and really set a new standard for me...

The Cheese Room Botanicals

Being a cheese lover myself I was excited to visit this place. The Cheese Room, located near Rochester Castle, is a charming restaurant specializing in all things cheese. The venue is in an old building with both indoor and outdoor seating, which adds to its character. We opted to sit outside, but the tables are a bit small, especially since the plates are quite large.

The menu offers a great variety of cheeses, and we enjoyed the British Cheese Board and I tried the pesto sourdough sandwich. The food was good, but the service could have been more organized. It took a while to receive the menu, and when it came time to pay, we ended up going to the bar as we were in a hurry.

The ladies' toilet, while clean, is quite small and a bit tricky to find. Overall, despite a few minor issues, we had a lovely time and would recommend it for cheese lovers!

My last stop during Rochester Sweeps. Wish I'd started here and stayed all day. There was a small beer festival on and lots of visiting artists. Only had a plate of chips, but they hit the spot. And to cap it all, the beers were £4 a pint. The cheapest by far that day!!
