The food was so good (sunday roast) and the portion very generous as well as very aesthetically pleasing. I would gladly come back. Days after this meal I still think about it from how good it was. My congratulations to the kitchen staff.

A beautifully situated quayside restaurant in Sandwich. A friendly atmosphere to enjoy fine food and drink. Staff were polite and attentive to our every need.Starters were a generous size with the spiced smoked hummus and pate enjoyed by my partner and I.The smoke house menu and Bento box has a rich deep taste without overpowering the rest of the dishes.Well worth a visit, and we'll be making it a destination during the summer to enjoy the terrace in better weather.

A spur of the moment decision which turned into a very rewarding dinning experience. Another surprising plus was the number of dishes that could be served gluten free, almost the entire menu. Exceptional good food with equally positive, cheerful staff. Absolutely would go back and would recommend if the area make a detour and check out this restaurant I wam sure you will not be disappointed. The rib eye steak dishes were delightful.

Sunday lunch (if you can call it that) at the toll Bridge. Should have read the the other negative reviews and gone else where. the meat was dry and very overly smoked. it totally over powered the meal. Roast potatoes we rock solid with hardly any potato inside. the lack of vegetables. The burnt Yorkshire pudding. the wait for the food was unacceptable, 55 minutes from ordering. we asked how long after 30 minutes to be told it was being plated up. And whilst we waited we had to sit and listen to the the verbal abuse coming from the kitchen which was unbearable, especially for the children to hear. the language would make Gordon Ramsey sound like a saint! Very expensive drinks. over all not a nice experience at all. we would have complained, however another table who dare to complain. Resulted in the chef coming out the kitchen and hurl abuse at them. so decided to keep quiet. and get out of there as quickly as possible.

Popped in for a drink and to check out the menu. Menu looked good. So asked for a table. They had a table available. We were seated and given a menu. However having sat for 10 minutes pondering the menu. The swearing we heard coming from the kitchen was horrendous. I’ve never heard a chef speaking to his staff like that ever. No-one deserves to be spoken to like that. We decided to leave. The manager wasn’t even sorry for what we had heard and that we’d decided not to stay for food. He was actually quite rude. And said he'd gone to the trouble to get us a table last minute. The restaurant was practically empty!

Woah. What a Sunday roast! Im still thinking of it now. Amazing flavours. I have been a few times before and I’ve never been disappointed. Service was impeccable. Polite and friendly staff. Good coffee too.

We stumbled across this place by pure chance, but it turned out to be the best bit of luck we could have had. We fancied steak and decided to go for the Tomahawk steak which came with 2 sides. The steak was amazing, melted in the mouth and seasoned to perfection. As mentioned in a few other posts we could hear the chef in the kitchen shouting, but this added to the atmosphere of a busy restaurant. The staff were all friendly and attentive. Some of them were new, but not that you would know it. At the end of the meal the chef came out to speak with us about the meal and even invited into the kitchen to see the smokehouse. I would definitely recommend

Extremely good. 6 of us went late on Sunday at last minute, we were greeted by the lovely friendly staff who showed us to our table. A friendly chef came out noticed we had a dog and gave us some little crackling pieces for the dog which was a nice touch. The waiters were very attentive and offered us recommendations for wine and food. They really made an effort with our friends little girl to ensure she was included. The starters arrived, everyone loved theirs everything was packed with flavour. The mains arrived again was totally blown away by the roast dinner, my friends son had the mussels to which he described as the nicest mussels he had, he then had a dessert which was also very tasty. Waiters were prompt to the table and made sure we were happy with everything including the chef! The young guy behind the bar was so lovely, he could see my friends little girl was struggling with her glass so offered a plastic cup. Really impressed and we all look forward to returning & hopefully it’s just as good as we were all really impressed, thank you all!

Service was outstanding at all points, cocktails were excellent and the food the was a hit, would highly recommend the tommohawk steak, great value for 2 people and came with 3 sides, one of which the Asian coleslaw was unique and delicious.

We arrived for my friends birthday meal on Saturday evening and was shown to our table by our waitress who came over to ask for our drinks. We ordered some cocktails, a jig of water for the table and our food. after 15 minutes the drinks came ( minus the jug of water) The 2 cocktails we ordered were the pink fizz, which we had we we came last month and they come with candy floss in the top. When they arrived, they didn't have candy floss in the top, and we mentioned this, and she said the sugar around the rim of the glass was the candy floss? I questioned this and said we had them a few weeks ago, and she said "oh we haven't got any then," trying to play us off as stupid really backfired on the young girl. Anyway she retook our drinks order and waited. And waited. And waited. To the point that some of our guests had been waiting 45 min without a drink. Absolutely poor service. Staff looked like they had fallen out of the school gate. No personality. Atmosphere was flat as the table next to us ordered an hour previous and them to be told they had lost their order. Everyone seemed unhappy. We decided to walk out.I recommend this place to people although high on price and portions could be more generous it was a really nice meal.......now I won't. I won't come back again. We ended up going to the Key Side Bar and Grill on the other side of the Toll Bridge. Half the price, outside eating, friendly staff and music Playing what a find that was and completely putt the Toll Bridge and there Staff to Shame. Well done for nearly ruining a Birthday!!!!!
