1 Cattle Market, SandwichReally good fish and chips. Great proper chips. Really crispy batter. Both haddock and cod were excellent - large cod was possibly largest portion ever. Tasty mushy peas. Mugs of tea although ours sadly never arrived. Loved the fish branding.

Luigi's Italian Restaurant and Pizzeria
3 The Quay, SandwichMy best friend came down from London to see me yesterday and after a festive walk around Sandwich, we had the most wonderful lunch at Luigi's. The atmosphere was so warm and inviting from the moment we entered the deceptively large, yet cosy space. Kaleka, the Maitre D, made us feel so welcome and was the perfect host. His humour, kindness and professionalism ensured that everything was just perfect. The dishes were simple, authentic and delicious. We both felt that we were ending 2025 on a high note after this and we are looking forward to returing again and again in 2026.

The Waiting Room
Cattle Market, SandwichAlways my favourite place to get a coffee or a glass of wine. The venue itself is amazing with so much history which the staff will happily tell you about, and the outside seating is a sun trap! Meg especially makes a great coffee with great service! I must visit if you live in or are visiting Sandwich! ☕️

Fishergate, The Quay, SandwichA great place for a chilled atmosphere with fantastic pizzas. The vegan pizzas were truly amazing and fair play for so many vegan options. Plenty of options for meat eaters too. I wish more places had this level of thought and options. Keep doing what you're doing. Can't wait to go back!

8 Cattle Market, SandwichSecond visit to this quirky establishment but first time trying the food this afternoon. The Sunday roast is outstanding and everything cooked to perfection.There were 4 of us so we tried all 3 meats. I had the turkey but the pork and beef looked and were (I was told) equally delicious. Roast potatoes were huge as was the Yorkshire pudding. All the veggies too.....worth every penny at £22. We will definitely be returning. Thank you.

6 Market St, SandwichGreat Thai restaurant serving authentic Thai cuisine. The manager was very friendly and had a great personality. The food was of really high standard and perfect portions. My only critique is I thought the prawn toast were overcooked, to balance this one of the best Pad Thai’s I’ve had. I’d certainly recommend this place as it’s great food and very reasonable.

20A King St, SandwichNice busy little cafe, service was a little slow, but friendly staff and it was full at the time we visited. Dogs are welcome and provided for. Tasty milkshake! One step up into entrance. No parking directly outside. Good central location. Look out for this little gem! Only downside is the many signs reminding customers they would prefer cash payments over card.

The Old Dining Room
The Quay, SandwichWe visited The Bell Hotel for Sunday lunch as a party of four and had a wonderful experience from start to finish.
Three of us chose the roast beef and one had the roast chicken. All of the meals were absolutely delicious, with generous portions, perfectly cooked meat, and all the traditional accompaniments you’d expect from a quality Sunday roast. Everything was well presented and full of flavour.
The service was amazing throughout our visit. All of the staff were friendly, welcoming, and attentive without being intrusive, making us feel well looked after from the moment we arrived.
Mum & Dad decided to have dessert, and they looked just as impressive as the main courses.
The atmosphere was relaxed and welcoming, making it an ideal place to enjoy a Sunday lunch with family or friends. It’s clear that the team take pride in both the food they serve and the service they provide.
We would highly recommend The Bell Hotel and will definitely be returning in the future.

11 The Butchery, SandwichExcellent food and friendly staff. We were very impressed with all the dishes we had and the price was very reasonable. I had a chicken dansak and mushroom rice and onion bajaee as a starter. It was busy and a good atmosphere. Recommended.

The Quay, SandwichLovely little hotel that does great food and drink. Prices are a bit touristy but hey ho. Met up with 3 old pals and had a very pleasant time. Extremely tasty salmon sandwich, could have done with a few more chips. Might make a regular event of it!

I did my order paid and then saw the offer for a free child's meal with a footlong bought! Bit late at the till when I'd already ordered for my grandson! Luckily staff were lovely and got it sorted for me
