The Oak kindly let us use some semi-private space for a meeting. Very responsive to the initial request, and great serving staff too.We didn't eat, but the drinks were great.PS the music on Friday nights is fabulous too.

Love this place. It’s very cosy and love the an atmosphere. I’ve not eaten here in years but I remember the food being great.

The pub quiz on a Thursday was great, Sam’s quiz questions were creative, inclusive and fun! Eva who served us at the bar was very friendly and welcoming. Will be booking a table for next week for

Lovely place to have a drink and catch up with friends.

Great atmosphere, popular pub, lots of varied and cosy places to sit, with live music on a Friday evening. On the Friday we visited the menu was limited, nothing like the menu that’s shown online. There weren’t any healthy choices; very difficult for anyone on a diet! Far better for kids than adults. Only two desserts to choose from. It has a Thursday Quiz night too. Although there are brewing vessels, which adds to atmosphere, beer isn’t in fact brewed on site anymore. New owners.

We booked The Oak for our staff Christmas Party and I must say it was the best decision! The staff were 12/10 fabulous, very attentive and just amazing. The pub was busy but that didn't stop them communicating with us and making us feel informed. We had a member of the party with a long list of severe allergies and this was accommodated for perfectly. From booking process to paying, it couldn't have been easier. Thank you to the entire team and we wish you a very Merry Christmas! We will see you next year!

Amazing evening with The Dirty Perks

Atmosphere was decorated nice and the staff were polite and attentive. However, the menu on offer didn't offer a massive range for a Saturday lunchtime which resulted in me ordering 2 small plates. The first being buttermilk chicken that could have been served to a dog, the quality of chicken was really unacceptable for charging £7 for 3 small bits. It's the type of chicken you would throw away, it made me feel ill looking at it, stringy and black and awful. Chicken breast goujons cost nothing to serve to customers, guaranteed quality and taste. Then to charge £6 for 3 little frozen cheese jalapeno poppers again is just crazy. £4 for a tiny bowl of 'rosemary salted' chips which was non existent! Overall, the small portions for the price you're paying means we won't be returning for this reason. I suggest have a visit to The Daylight Inn pub in Petts Wood and you will see this pub needs food improvements.Parking: Nightmare as on a main road so struggle to find a space.

Absolute diamonds is how I would describe the bar staff ! A busy Friday with limited space to move about due to how Sergio Ramos it was ! The manager is a gentleman. The staff under him are just awesome.. they were never complaining and never looking stressed or negative, they just simply cracked on! I'm a barman myself and seing this and having the pleasure of being served excellent beverages with great service make me smile! I wish I could give more than 5 stars.

Places like this presume too much on their popularity. Assuming you can ignore enquiries and just cancel bookings with no communications never works out in the long run. Found a much more hospitable option for my future sports

Went today to celebrate my dad's birthday and the food was OK. Veggie roast ran out, forgot our cheese on the cheese burger, roast chicken and fish were small and pita bread was dry. The beef roast and chilli poppers were good, as was the service.Vegetarian options: 2 veggie options. The veggie roast ran out and the burger was lovely, but they forgot our cheese sp probably not the best for vegetarians.

I was so relieved to see that they are dog friendly. It was an absolute pleasure to go in and have lunch ? Friendly and courteous staff. Will be going back often..

The only pub we could get a table for Sunday lunch on Fathers Day we took a chance (after reading some of the dreadful reviews) and booked. Sadly the poor reviews were correct. Split into two with an area for eating and a bar section it was surprisingly quiet for a Sunday afternoon which gave a rather flat atmosphere. I will say all of the staff we dealt with were exceptionally friendly and helpful so from the outset we felt welcomed and looked after. Sadly this was the only positive of the lunch. Four out of five of us ordered the roast beef, unusually for a pub, there was no wine list so when the order was taken our server reeled off a number of drinks we could order which was not ideal as we had no idea of price. When the meal arrived the beef was inedible it was so tough, the roast potatoes were so hard you couldn't get a knife through them and a rather dry Yorkshire pudding. Limited veg was served with the meal but the gravy was decent. The fifth diner ordered burger and chips and had no complaints. We did complain about the roasts and one meal was deducted. We were charged £18 a head for the beef roast - my advice is save yourself some pennies and go to your local Toby!
