Unfortunately, a funeral wake is what’s brought us to the three horseshoes, the team here did an amazing job making us feel comfortable, attended to and happy despite our situation. Cannot praise the team here enough. What a lovely pub in a lovely quiet location!

Feels like your in someone's dining room so a homely feel. Service was good but the food was okay.Enjoyed the Haloumi fries but cod and chips was a little bland.

Was sold this special day being Christmas Day ??? over the phone, was pretty much promised that the experience would be amazing and definitely not disappointed, couldn’t have been further from the truth. I had visited before in the summer and had eaten with no complaints, it was lovely. Firstly we stood around awkwardly looking for staff to show us our table, that look 5 minutes! Finally settled all squashed and crammed into a space between the door and bar. No one offered us any drinks I had to keep trying to get someone’s attention, finally when drinks came had dirty glasses, table overdressed so no room. Starter was good, so now the amazing main course, over cooked reheated roast pots that was actually missing granddaughters plat, no stuffing, pigs in blankets very little gravy. While we waited for all these to be brought to the table our Special Day I felt had been already very disappointing. We were then offered the bill and hadn’t even had our pudding I had to clear our table after each course so obviously I told them I was NOT paying the service charge. I was silenced by the governor with the offer of a bottle of wine to which I did accept, obviously! But I personally would not recommend this place for such a special occasion, especially at the cost of £466.00 less the £30 charge . Overall the experience has put me off ever going out for a Christmas dinner again, it was our first time and the lady said “we would not be disappointed lots of extras included ie: mince pies chocolates and games for the children, lucky we took our own colouring books. I’m posting this with regret and I don’t want anyone else to have have an experience as we did.

My Rotary club goes regularly, as well as for special events. We always have good food, freshly prepared, with choices that meet everyone's taste! The steak and ale pie is a particular favorite. The team go out of their way to meet our requests and needs. Looking forward to the next time.
