Only went in for a pint - ended up with two. The "Timothy Taylor Landlord" was just excellent and surprisingly cheap. At my age I don't go loud "background" music and we struggled to have a decent conversation. Not an issue for some people I'm sure. I would go back if in the area. We didn't eat so I can't comment on the food.

A historical pub situated in the middle of Sittingbourne's High Street, but who cares about that... the beer is super cheap and that's the important thing! There are some good beers on offer. My favourite was Staropramen and there are a good choice of cheap spirits too. The music being played is usually decent enough and there is a nice courtyard to sit outside in the warmer months.

Very unprofessional! Was asked to do a favour and provide first aid training, even though unwell and under investigation for numerous medical issues. Worked out a good discount, for them to then cancel 2 days before training commenced. Issued with invoice for out of pocket expenses for Cheryl & Carl to then slag me off to their customers.6 weeks on, they still haven't paid their invoice or attempted to contact me. Very Poor Behaiour !Food wise - no food handling certificate although selling rolls - would jot risk it!

I had a night out at The Red Lion on Saturday night, with a group of friends, and the pub itself was lovely. The bar staff were amazing and did very well under very busy conditions, but at several points in the evening, a gentleman (who I was later informed was the landlord) decided to scream and shout at the bar staff, leaving them visibly shaken. My friends and I were also left sickened by the way he was talking to them. It was unfortunate, as a long awaited and overdue night out was ruined by a VERY unprofessional landlord with an obvious need to lay off the alcohol.

Nice local and cheap for a high street pub friendly staff. Nice beer always clean and tidy. Outside beer garden which gets busy in the summer.
Great friendly pub with great pricesIf I lived in Sittingbourne I would use it more.

Good atmosphere, reasonably priced, and met an old friend, so pleasant experience all around.

Rude female bouncer/security guard on door, felt immediately unwelcome as soon as I entered, tried to have a good night with the music and friendly bar staff but was ruined by the same bouncer whilst leaving. Me and my friends wasn’t doing anything wrong I think she was having a bad night anyway!

This pub is a sports lovers dream lol, it has some very good music at weekends, it has had a run of different managers, the latest seem the best, the give it the extra boost it needed, like the old days, worth visiting
