Lovely place but always waiting to be served should not be somewhere for over 2 and half hours waiting.

Great service, a few orders arrived with issues ie cold chips, wrong chips and steak not cooked as expected. Staff just wondering around in the kitchen without hair nets staff drinking from cocktail shakers all this whilst the restaurant and bar have customers.

This was dinner before going to a pantomime. The children's food was what you would expect. However, the adults were not up to a standard I would have expected for the price paid. It was busy and they could really have had more staff working which would have made the service better. Sorry to say that I would not rush back there anytime soon.

This place needs more staff, especially pre Christmas. We waited a long time to place our order, and even longer for the food. The food we had was good though. We were going to have desserts but nobody came to clear our table and take our order. After half an hour we asked for the bill, waited ages for that! The staff were very stressed.

Waited 5 minutes at bar to be acknowledged. Granted bar person was on his own but he didn’t even bothered to say I’ll be with you in a minute. All tables covered with dirty plates and empty glasses. For a Tuesday night I would have expected better. It wasn’t even busy. We left and went elsewhere

Friendly staff, very nice food, but was quite a long wait for both courses. Wasn't overly busy at the time we went, 1300-1545. In fairness we were a table of 16, but we'd all put our menu in prior to arrival.Parking: Good parking but might get full at peak times.

Excellent staff, really friendly and well mannered, Hannah the (manageress) and joey were amazing as per usual. Food was delicious, took roughly 25 minutes to come out which we thought was very quick as it was rush hour on a Saturday night. Always such a warm welcoming wonderful experience here.

The food was at maximum mediocre and this is because I don’t want to sound rude.Kids’ burgers - super dry, impossible to bite - they refused to eat it and they were rightKids’s fries - dry, tooCorn - overcookedPigs in blankets - 2 super tiny sausages (as big as my child’s pinky)Soup - my daughter said that it was ok-ish but now she is complaining about bad tummy cramps.Stake - rubbery, hard to chewPork - super salty and full of fatWe asked for salad and we ended up with fries.Peas - overcooked and coldOnion rings - super greasyThe restaurant was completely empty but the waitress told us that next time she will not let us in without a reservation (family of 4: 2 children, 2 adults).The room was cold. We had to stay with our jackets on.We used to like this place but not anymore.I can only recommend the garlic bread. ☹️

went today 13th December for breakfast and was very pleasantly surprised how nice the cooked breakfast was it was freshly cooked and hot and very enjoyable . lady serving was very polite. I'm not generally a big fan of beefeater for main meals but would recommend this one for breakfast

Normaly quite good but this visit was appaulling!! had to wait ages to be seated wasnt that busy .. the member of staff wanted to seem to rush us on drinks n food . food came out wasnt very hot and the steak i had a very funny taste ..n loke warm ..im not one for complaining so left it . Not an enjoyable atmosphere everything seemed to be busy busy rush rush ...

13-Jun-23: Visited for a late lunch on a warm Tuesday afternoon. Decided to sit outside as it as was good weather. The "booths" were in desperate need of refurbishment and cleaning, which was a shame. Ordering at the bar was fine and the food itself was good. Returning to the bar to order dessert, there was nobody around and no way to call anyone to get service. I understand it was a quiet time but if left unattended there should be a buzzer or something to alert staff to a customer. Desserts were also good. So no complaints on food, but the place does need a spruce up.
