The thoughtful waiter overheard my friend mention my birthday and organised a birthday pudding for me completely on his own initiative.It was such a nice touch and made for a perfect afternoon. 22 Avebury Ave, TonbridgeAbsolutely love this place, we tried it originally a few years ago, just to try somewhere new. Since then we've booked hotels nearby just so we can spend a night out here. My wife try to go here in special occasions, even though we are not local at all.Love the food, everyone's always friendly, and actually offer service, checking in you for drinks. Which by the way ye cocktails are fantastic!

Angel Walk, TonbridgeFirst off I’m sure the staff and cats are lovely, have a Tux myself at home, ?⬛But I made an accidental booking to this one as opposed to my local with a similar name and tried to get money back immediately as it was still pending from my bank.Unfortunately payment went through and I was unable to get a refund due to their no refunds policy, despite cancelling as soon as possible.I understand they must have lots of cancellations and refunding can harm the business but just wish this was overturned as there’s no way I could make the booking.

W End, Marden, TonbridgeWe hadn't been to the West End Tavern for ages, but chose to go on a quiet Tuesday night. We had a lovely time, the staff were so friendly. We even took our dog who was treated to a bowl of snacks and water. The food was basic pub grub, but well cooked and not pretentious at all. It was well priced unlike so many other establishments we have been to recently. And the beer was well kept, Timothy Taylors. The wine was excellent and again reasonably priced. We'll be back.

High St, Leigh, TonbridgeA write up in our local paper advised this pub was under new management and having watched the build going on I was interested to see the final result. First things first. I am sure you have to pay for the booking company you use. They are rubbish, I needed to tell them we had an additional option of NOT wanting to bring a dog as this was not an option. I could not place a booking for lunch on a Sunday for more than 6 at lunchtime, 15.30 is not lunchtime. You are wasting your money with this system. You are not big enough to need them, get rid and save money. Following Covid and the resulting staff shortages we were prepared for a mixed reception as we arrived for a full Sunday lunch following a good 6 mile hike with our walking group. I had already read many of the latest reviews and, generally, as there were more positive than bad felt it time to give it a try. All six of us had two course Sunday Roasts and the general consensus was that they were good. The food was very hot and arrived on hot plates which is always appreciated. There was ample quantity hence why none of us could run to a desert this time. I have to add the service was good and attentive and we were checked a number of times to see if we were alright for drinks. These are all things that do not happen elsewhere. There had been a small fire a few weeks back resulting in smoke damage to the soft furnishings hence our metal chairs were a little uncomfortable with no padding, but again not a deal breaker. The ‘optional’ service charge was only 10% again a good call and there was a little charge for the additional gravy jugs but again not a problem (Alex Politzi would be proud in the margin accounting!) In short all of our group would be happy to come back again. I would personally cycle over from Tunbridge Wells to dine here again and pass a number of good pubs on the way. Such is the quality and staffing of this place, good luck going forward.

I was worried they’d be disappointed, but they said they’d rather go back to Jel’s in future! We all thoroughly enjoyed the food & the service was excellent. Such lovely people, very friendly and welcoming. Thank goodness Wimpy was shut, we’ve found a bit of a hidden gem! We’ll definitely be back in the Easter holiday!Kid-friendliness: Really good with my boys, very child-friendly.

The boys love the pub, it's atmosphere, the wide selection of beers, excellent service and emphasis on sports and music. Most Saturdays end with a couple of games of killer on one of the two pool tables! The food really is excellent, and the boys are usually ordering one o the burgers on offer each week. Thanks to Martin and the team for making us feel welcome.

Guy (not usual guys I've seen before) too busy texting to even bother acknowledinh my presence. Finally grunted a "yes" . Food was superb but less chips than used too. Less salad than ever before and NO sauce at all despite asking for it. Not impressed and not their usual standard. Worse of all, I wasnt called "Boss" even once!

Churn Ln, Horsmonden, TonbridgeGreat place to grab lunch or Sunday roast.Day fishing avaliable as well, great tidy venue. It was so nice I purchased fishing membership for the family and I. They were very understanding when I spilt a whole pint of beer over their dining table. They have a great bar, great food, amazing views of the lakes from the patio area. Fished it twice so far with no monsters to show for it but amazing fun. Take away food and beer for fishermen and breakfasts. They even have flushing loo's for the fishermen.This place is Awsome.
