The Poet at Matfield
Maidstone Rd, Matfield, TonbridgeWe had dinner at The Poet last night and it was honestly one of the best meals I’ve had in a long while.
From the moment we sat down, the service was warm, attentive and perfectly paced – we felt really looked after without it ever feeling overbearing.
The freshly made bread was a beautiful start, followed by a delicious amuse-bouche (such a lovely surprise!) even before our starter arrived. By the time our starters came out we were already impressed – and they were absolutely mouth-watering.
We went for steak night and it was incredible value for money. The steak was cooked to perfection – exactly as ordered – and full of flavour. Every element on the plate felt thoughtfully prepared.
We finished with a beautiful dessert that was the perfect ending to an exceptional meal.
The ambience deserves a special mention – the lighting, the atmosphere and the background music were spot on. In fact, I was tempted to steal the playlist for our wedding!
A truly fantastic dining experience. We’ll definitely be back. Highly recommend. ✨?

3 York Parade, TonbridgeOrder 3 pizza and Garlic bread for work colleagues as I was leaving the company today! When I got back very happy colleagues. I did manage to get a couple off slices which I put in the microwave. Must say it was a good pizza. The driver even phoned to apologise that he was stuck in traffic and was 5 minutes late from original time??! 12,30 he arrived at 12,37 no drama!

We decided to take them here to the Chaser Inn for a family meal. And what a great decision it was!!. We had a very warm welcome.
The staff were absolutely phenomenal!!!, so friendly, polite and extremely professional, nothing was too much trouble, the service they provided was second to none!?. The food was of the highest quality and tasted superb!!?. The decor and atmosphere of the Inn is amazing!, with a beautiful garden perfect for the summer.
The Chaser Inn is now without doubt our all time favourite place to visit now when we come to Kent. We cannot recommend it highly enough, everything was just perfect!!!?????.

? The atmosphere was perfect for a small celebration with family and friends.

?The satay chicken on skewers is appetising.
Sweet and sour chicken Hong Kong style is rustic and fruity. Excellent! Lemon chicken is tangy, crispy and yummy. Chicken fried noodles and Singapore fried noodles are aromatic, full of stir-fry passion in the dishes. House fried rice satisfies your appetite coz you can tried every type of meat & veggie on top of the egg fried rice.
?Salt & chilli squid tastes good but a bit chewy. Next time we’ll try salt & chilli chicken or chips instead.
??Overall, it is a hidden gem in the village. We like it.

The Dovecote Inn Alders Road, Capel, TonbridgeGorgeous pub. Lovely food. Well positioned. Comfortable. Nice atmosphere. Good service. Great value for money. Excellent parking facilities. Clean. There were 10 of us for sunday roast and it was lovely. We came from all over the south east to meet at this central pub for us which was perfect positioning to get to. Lovely roast and the best vegan desert I've ever eaten. If we lived nearby my partner said he would love this to be his local which I feel is a great compliment and worthy. I highly recommend this pub and we will be back for sure.

It was busy, we sat in the awning at the back. Coffee was good and hot as was the bacon bap, plenty of filling too. Service was great considering they were full to the brim. Facilities were clean as was the general look of the place. A great place to visit if passing on your bike.

There today to drink I had a latte which I really enjoyed
It was the best latte I have ever had in the whole wide world
My dad had a peppermint tea he really enjoyed it
And also had a biscuit to go with it which the very lovely staff gave me which was very kind of them
They have very good wifi too because it was free wifi which is super good
And also I didn't need to enter a password for it which is very handy
I connected to their wifi no problems included which was very good as well
It was so lovely trying out this place
I really like trying out new places that I never been to before because it's gives you the chance to see what experience you have
I think I had a very good experience at verdigris tonbridge today
The staff are very kind lovely and super friendly

2-4 Barden Rd, TonbridgeOne of our go to restaurants and takeaway options in Tonbridge. Absolutely love the spice bag £10 for a great jumble of Chinese food, fantastic value.
The regular Elvis nights are an event we rarely miss, a great variety of Chinese foods you might not normally experience, superb atmosphere, great entertainment, and good service from the staff.
The Honeymoon is a place I always recommend.
