Maidstone Rd, Matfield, TonbridgeWe had dinner at The Poet last night and it was honestly one of the best meals I’ve had in a long while.
From the moment we sat down, the service was warm, attentive and perfectly paced – we felt really looked after without it ever feeling overbearing.
The freshly made bread was a beautiful start, followed by a delicious amuse-bouche (such a lovely surprise!) even before our starter arrived. By the time our starters came out we were already impressed – and they were absolutely mouth-watering.
We went for steak night and it was incredible value for money. The steak was cooked to perfection – exactly as ordered – and full of flavour. Every element on the plate felt thoughtfully prepared.
We finished with a beautiful dessert that was the perfect ending to an exceptional meal.
The ambience deserves a special mention – the lighting, the atmosphere and the background music were spot on. In fact, I was tempted to steal the playlist for our wedding!
A truly fantastic dining experience. We’ll definitely be back. Highly recommend. ✨?

I’m fussy with lamb as it can be hit and miss, but here it’s been tender and fat free every single time. All the food is fresh and they have a lovely curry that’s unique to them using Nepalese spices. Highly recommend!

22 Avebury Ave, TonbridgeWe spent the day shopping in Tonbridge. My daughter wanted to try this place. It was a good choice. The decorations give you something to discover in every corner. The staff was very friendly. The food came out quick and was very tasty. The only regret we have is that we didn’t have room for more food! Would definitely come again!

2 Bullen Ln, East Peckham, TonbridgeSix of us visited Khan Spice on Sunday 10th August 2025 for lunch. We had a drink at a near by pub, The Man of Kent, on the river first. Inside the Khan Spice it was nice and cool in the air conditioning, as it was around 25 degrees outside. We choose the buffet for all of us and the food was superb, freshly cooked and full of flavour. The staff are friendly and accommodating. We would highly recommend the experience to anyone. Excellent Indian cuisine! The only reason I have only given 4 stars for 'atmosphere', was that we were the only people eating at the time, mainly due to the weather I guess. However, we soon made our own atmosphere!

3 York Parade, TonbridgeOrder 3 pizza and Garlic bread for work colleagues as I was leaving the company today! When I got back very happy colleagues. I did manage to get a couple off slices which I put in the microwave. Must say it was a good pizza. The driver even phoned to apologise that he was stuck in traffic and was 5 minutes late from original time??! 12,30 he arrived at 12,37 no drama!

We decided to take them here to the Chaser Inn for a family meal. And what a great decision it was!!. We had a very warm welcome.
The staff were absolutely phenomenal!!!, so friendly, polite and extremely professional, nothing was too much trouble, the service they provided was second to none!?. The food was of the highest quality and tasted superb!!?. The decor and atmosphere of the Inn is amazing!, with a beautiful garden perfect for the summer.
The Chaser Inn is now without doubt our all time favourite place to visit now when we come to Kent. We cannot recommend it highly enough, everything was just perfect!!!?????.

The Dovecote Inn Alders Road, Capel, TonbridgeGorgeous pub. Lovely food. Well positioned. Comfortable. Nice atmosphere. Good service. Great value for money. Excellent parking facilities. Clean. There were 10 of us for sunday roast and it was lovely. We came from all over the south east to meet at this central pub for us which was perfect positioning to get to. Lovely roast and the best vegan desert I've ever eaten. If we lived nearby my partner said he would love this to be his local which I feel is a great compliment and worthy. I highly recommend this pub and we will be back for sure.

It was busy, we sat in the awning at the back. Coffee was good and hot as was the bacon bap, plenty of filling too. Service was great considering they were full to the brim. Facilities were clean as was the general look of the place. A great place to visit if passing on your bike.

And also I didn't need to enter a password for it which is very handy
I connected to their wifi no problems included which was very good as well
It was so lovely trying out this place
I really like trying out new places that I never been to before because it's gives you the chance to see what experience you have

Smarts Hill, Penshurst, TonbridgeI am so pleased we popped into The Spotted Dog whilst on a walk around Penshurst... we spent the afternoon on the Chesterfield by the open fire with a glass of fizz and it was the perfect start to the week ahead. The staff are friendly and the atmosphere is exactly how you would expect a cosy country pub to feel.
I am actually sat writing this a week after our first visit, doing the exact same! We also booked for a roast for next weekend - i would recommend booking as I have seen many people popping in trying to get a table.
I have tried the following food from the menu and highly recommend
