We hadn't been to the West End Tavern for ages, but chose to go on a quiet Tuesday night. We had a lovely time, the staff were so friendly. We even took our dog who was treated to a bowl of snacks and water. The food was basic pub grub, but well cooked and not pretentious at all. It was well priced unlike so many other establishments we have been to recently. And the beer was well kept, Timothy Taylors. The wine was excellent and again reasonably priced. We'll be back.

Very bad experience being a customer at this place now.Wrong (very bad)service and attitude from staff, extremely small portions(half) for adults.Pushing to order the dinner before everyone attend the event.I am really disappointed to see that, as I've been a customer before with the previous owners and that was my favourite place for a dinner.

I booked a table for 18.00 for me and my friends and till 18.30 the personal constantly push us to order the food with the excuses that the resturant is fully booked. Also they told us that they won't take a order after 18.30. It is ridiculous if the resturant work till 23.00. On the end of the diner ant 20.00 I did check how many people were in the resturant and obviously the resturant was only 25 % full approximate 24 people.. The food wasn't good and the meals were small . So relay disappointed and I will not back there ever..

We thought we would come out as a family as we dont do it as much as we should. The welcoming we got was outstanding so smiley faces and welcoming staff. It was a nice day so we sat outside in the huge garden which was lovely. The food was amazing and i much say all plates where clean. We have recommended to all friends and family and i must say the landlady was so friendly and officiant. We will definitely be coming back to this place.

We went for the BBQ evenings the new owners have started doing and we’re very impressed! We tried the burgers, hot dogs and halloumi burger and couldn’t fault it. The perfect way to spend a sunny Saturday evening with friends with a great atmosphere in the garden

We had an excellent meal, cooked by Chef Sam, the fish was so tasty, with an incredible dressing. Really enjoyed the selection of desserts and felt totally spoilt. Amazing service from all the staff, they really do look after you. Will certainly be back!

What a fantastic place! We visited for Sunday Lunch and were not disappointed. Food was lovely. All the staff were friendly, professional and attentive. We had a great time and will be going back soon. If you haven't gone already, you should do so.
