Despite it being a beautiful must see place there was a young bouncer pacing up and down like a nutter near us. Really uncomfortable being around him. Young fella. He wanted to chat to us so I asked him if he did much 'bouncing' as the place was dead. I got a massive diatribe about the young generation being totally 'lost.' Absolute nut job. We left straight after.

Best Spoons experience, they know how to pour a decent Guiness.

Come on guys, I really love coming here regularly with my kids but as of recent the food availability and food quality has really noticeably dropped and I’m thinking of listening to my kids and not coming back. Service always great! However, food has been one of 4 things in the last 3 months, burnt, cold, dry or out of stock.. I keep coming back to hope to see an improvement but each time I actually think it’s getting worse.. Appreciate it’s December (busy) cheap and cheerful, but to run out of chips, burgers if not half the actual menu (4 choices off the menu when ordering at the bar out of stock today - yikes!!) come on, please step up & pull your socks up! Is there not plenty of other spoons around you (Crowborough, Tonbridge, Chatham) that can help support and supply if a delivery hasn’t turn up. - in December, which was today’s excuse at the bar. I don’t believe anyone really give a toss here sadly! Not personally one to leave feedback but this place could be really incredible and I hope the management take this feedback on bored because we want to continue coming back each time. Many thanks.

Stunning venue but let down by lack of cleanliness.Toilets dirty ,carpet ,tables and seating sticky. Everything needs a thorough clean .Received dirty cutlery with food still stuck to it by time it was replaced food was cold .Complained to staff but not much response .

What a fantastic place. The old opera house has been converted into a pub/cafe and entertainment centre. With the usual great Wetherspoon's prices and fast food and drinks service it is the cheapest, and in my opinion best place to go for food, coffee and an inspiring night out. Love this place.

Lovely decor and great service.Likely the prettiest Wetherspoon you’ll come across, maintaining the historical Opera House.Tom, the staff lead, goes above and beyond to cater for customer needs. We had a staff member accidentally spill syrup on my cousins’ jacket. Tom was quick to explain how to compensate the dry-cleaning, as well as offering a free breakfast for our troubles.Above and beyond service - very kind.

Such a gr8 pub with friendly people.Food is top notch, cheap and yummy. The drinks are brilliant and also affordable. The service can be brilliant.
Food and service typical of Wetherspoons. Not great , just really good value .It's the venue that's set's this place aside. Amazing, and I really love the fact that one day a year, it reverts back to being a theatre !

Food cold, mash potato smeared over plate to look bigger. Given this place so many chances with food and I'm afraid to day its getting worse each time we

This is definitely a place to visit. Its great to see our beautiful old buildings used, even if for a quirky weatherspoons. The day i was in was maybe a little under staffed and there was only a small handful of chips with my dinner. Hey ho, you get what you pay for.. ?

Family lunch (three adults and three teenagers). Order was efficiently taken at the bar. Everything we ordered was available. Food arrived hot. Everyone enjoyed it. Very reasonably priced.

We stopped in for lunch, ordered Katsu curry, Nachos & cauliflower curry. Was pleasantly surprised & enjoyed it all thoroughly. Great value for money.
