95 Bidborough Ridge, Bidborough, Tunbridge WellsI was taken to the Kentish Hare for a birthday Sunday lunch. The food at this restaurant was very high quality. I had yellowfin tuna tartare starter which came with watermelon, avocado and orange ponzu, it was divine. For a main course my son-in-law and I shared a roast beef dish and I finished with Bramley apple crumble. My wife and daughter had fishcake followed by roast lamb and then Amalfi lemon parfait. The main course came with a selection of perfectly cooked vegetables. There was a good and varied wine menu and a selection of alcoholic and non-alcoholic cocktails. I had the non-alcoholic passion fruit martino shown in the picture. It was all delicious. The portions were generous and the service was friendly, efficient and quick. The atmosphere was relaxed and we could see the chefs working in the open kitchen. I will be returning frequently.

We asked to eat in so they boxed it up, even though they had already packaged one into a bag. Ketchup, salt, vinegar, napkins, straws and bamboo knives and forks on the bench plus contact charging points for phones!The chips were crispy, plentiful and hot, absolutely perfect. Loads of little crispy bits at the end too. The fish was a great size, tender (only used a bamboo fork) and tasty with good batter. Halloumi bites were good, as was our curry sauce and the mushy peas.Will certainly return next time we are nearby.

The Shuffle House catered to a group of 50 people (including people who are vegans and gluten free) and the food did not disappoint. Would highly recommend this venue for a party/event.
