Been here several times. There are often good bands playing. Drinks selection is good and there’s regularly a pizza van in the car park that serve you at the pub tables! Staff are really

Lovely clean pub with friendly staff. Currently has no chef but there is a great pizza van on a Friday night in the car park. Dog friendly and lots of social events, sports, quiz nights and live music

Andrew Lohmann

Lovely vegan roast always.

An extremely over-priced pint of very poorly kept Harveys served by a bar "person" totally indifferent to the concept of service with a smile.

This is a fabulous pub to attend especially if you are a female on your own. I have been going to this pub for many years now and as a real ale drinker I would like to say they are kept exceptionally well. The barstaff are very friendly and helpful and as someone on their own make you feel very safe. I can't recommend this l9vely local pub enough.

The barmaid was particularly polite,a very reasonably priced pint, very friendly atmosphere, The only downside was an obnoxious litter man swearing at the barmaid after complaining that his drinks were too expensive, well there's a simple answer to that, drink somewhere else.

The cask beer was poor and very overpriced - I pay less in London. The barmaid was very hostile and the lack of atmosphere led me to conclude that a return visit will not be made while the current management and staff are in place.

Slightly away from the town centre, but well worth the extra 5 minute walk. Cask ales & keg beers served to the highest standard. Quality wines & real ciders. A superb gin & whisky selection extends beyond the usual brands. You are greeted with a warm welcome and can enjoy live music on Saturdays or festival weekends. Additionall events support good causes.

Great pub, amazing position overlooking the sea, friendly & helpful staff, especially Hallie. Good selection of great food at good prices. We were visiting the area and were made to feel very welcome.

Very comfortable pub a short walk from Tunbridge Wells center. Cosy interior with a very good selection of local ales available. The two I tried were in great condition. There's a bar billiards table which looked in great shape, and a darts board. Didn't try the food. Service was very friendly. Well worth a visit.

Good family owned and run pub. Plus if beers to choose from and now they have bar billiards too which is excellent. I always missed pub games. Good work guys!

Unfortunate update:It used to be 5 stars, it used to be amazing. A friendly local pub with friendly local people. Sadly it's now just a garden variety pub with staff that mostly do as best they can (depending how busy it is) but have trouble with basic manners sometimes. It's a shame, but as long as you're not expecting a Shire-like pub that feels like home whenever you walk in, then you'll be fine.Food has sadly taken a rather big downturn, but there's a pizza van outside on Friday (sometimes Saturday as well) which you can take indoors to eat with your pint, which is good, but not a ringing endorsement for the chef, if you know what I mean.(I left my old review here for a fair comparison, it used to be 5 stars)Absolutely wonderful pub. Friendly staff, great cask and special ales, beers and ciders. Live music every week, fabulous food. Absolutely brilliant.

Excellent local pub with a fantastic selection of ales and craft beers which are expertly looked after. Often have live music at the weekends. When the kitchens open the food is delicious, their burgers are fantastic. Service is always brilliant, staff are wonderfully friendly and helpful. No it hasn't changed, it is still the best pub in the town.
