It’s Monday and this place is buzzing. I stopped off for a bite after a day in town and what a great decision that turned out to be.The food was stunning. A chicken and ham hock pie with a healthy portion of veg and skin on fries.The service more than matched the food. A lovely chat with the manager who seems to have time for everyone who walks through her door and clearly she leads by example because all the staff were attentive and amiable.Can’t wait to come back.
I had my 70th celebration at The Wateringbury , we had a buffet for 30, the food was amazing and put out on the time we wanted, staff were discreet, but there if we needed, all very helpful particularly Carrie who we liaised with. I would definitely recommend The Wateringbury for a celebration.

This was GOOD!!! Some key standards - fish, steak, burgers - but also some more unusual dishes. Korean chicken was amazing. Portions are GENEROUS, all cooked and presented beautifully. Not sure how I got through the toffee pudding after a huge main course, but I was up for the challenge. It was delicious! Will definitely be back based on this visit.
