What an absolute dive! Took my Dad for a belated Fathers Day lunch…full of men seemingly trying to see who could swear & say the word “F@ck” loudest! Food took over 40 minutes to come out & was average at very best. Will 100% never be going back again.

Not only did they put all food out ,with no labels, high risk of anyone with allergy, no concern for any customer who ate from buffet , and some of food was bland, spoke to waitress who couldn't care less !

Kerry and Vicki provided brilliant service. The food was good and hot at a reasonable price. We had a very nice lunch here.

Not a great experience, better off going for drinks, food is disappointing, I paid 16.99 for sirloin and chips although I ordered a sirloin and ribs but anyway I was hungry so I accepted the miss communication but the steak was bad and the chips, well the four chips I had were ok but I had to get another meal when I got home as the steak was as chewy as a car tyre, fatty bad cuts and the four chips weren’t filling enough. I mean why do these places skimp on the cheapest food ever a potato! And well the salad two bits of rocket and a decent amount of tomatoes about the only part which was good value. There were also no sauces stocked just some pepper available. My girlfriends pie looked alright and was 11£. Four chips though. Maybe make your menu smaller and stick to the stuff you can do. Wont be eating there again. Least the sun was out. STOP SKIMPING ON POTATOS! 30+ quid of food worth about a tenner.

4 of us visited the pub for evening meals, the Food portions where quite small, and wasent much better than micro waved food. the gents Toilets one urinal was full to the top with piss, and the the over had a puddle on the floor ( whether it was a leak or some had weed all other the floor either way an unpleasant experience, apart from that staff was friendly and the pub has loads of charm and character.

Had a huge room upstairs for a family birthday. Excellent service, really nice food and good choice of draught beers. Could not fault the staff, they did a fantastic job serving and clearing for 22

Visited the Walden Hall on a quiet Monday evening, when most of the other local pubs were closed. What a fabulous venue, the building is exceptional architecturely and both warm and inviting. Not over busy but still a lovely atmosphere and staff very welcoming. Good menu with lots of choice and our order delivered quickly, well presented and most importantly delicious. Top marks to chef.We asked to look upstairs and no problem for them, the full glory of this ancient Hall house can be admired in its glory.DEFINATELY will come again, and would recommend highly.Royston

Visited Weald on Hall on Monday evening. The food was excellent and the staff couldn't have been nicer. On the negative side it was very cold in there and lacked atmosphere. As there were so few customers it would seem more sensible to curtain off the far ebd of the restaurant and have a log fire in the main fireplace. A bit of background music would have made the dining experience much nicer.A beautiful building. Will be back.

Lovely pub restaurant with lots of the original building' features ... the food was well presented and of good quality. We sat near an original open fire which made the visit even more special ??

Large car park unfortunately with pot holes. We had our Christmas meal there, we all thought the food was delicious and fairly priced bar prices are as to be expected service was good and we made use of the App to order food and drinks

Food was okay (if you are looking for no frills/comforting pub grub) but table service was extremely slow... Had to go to the bar several times to order.Cosy atmosphere with the open fireplace.
