What a lovely touch for them to offer me a mini cone of chips to nibble on while I was waiting for my fish to be fried! Stuff like that makes all the difference and shows that they care - and the people working there looked like they were happy and having fun, which is a great sign and fills you with confidence. I had Haddock and 'small' chips and that was enough to fill two of us ? Thanks ??

The food was delicious and the service was very good! The fish was a little big and tooooooooooooooo much vinegar! The guy that sold the food was very nice and friendly!The burgers were dry and boring.But in general you can go there and eat original english fish and chips!

A great portion of chips and onion rings with a buttered roll and some mayonnaise is what I got. Was driving past, feeling peckish and really glad I stopped to check this place out.The staff were really polite and produced the goods in no time at all. Would definitely go again!

We visit Margate a number of times a year and Westgate Fish & Chips remains one of our favourite Fish & Chip shops to go to (If Peters Fish Factor in Margate is very busy, when we are travelling back home). More often than not, we have a positive experience here. Very infrequently the chips may be tepid. More often, they are freshly coked and very hot. Staff are always friendly and polite. On this occasion, (Oct23), they were extremely hot and tasty.

Came in last night to grab some food.Excellent. All freshly cooked to order. Good portion sizes. Batter on the cod was crispy not greasy. Chips just how they should be, fluffy inside and piping hot.My partner had a burger. Which was also very good.Polite and friendly staff.Good price too.
Called in yesterday and had the best fish and chips ever. All freshly cooked and we were even offered some chips while we waited. Staff are great with a sense of humour. Definitely going back next time we’re in Westgate.
