I am literally so confused as to what just happened…??? The three of us were having a really nice evening in the there until we were approached by the drunken landlady. Absolutely terrible person that tries to use her power of being a business owner and clearly not being able to handle her own merchandise to intimidate her own customers.Absolutely disgraceful behaviour from this lady which really has let down a place we came for a drink and thought was great until having the disprivilege of being interrupted by the misogynist individual.

My girlfriend and I were looking for a nice English place in Whitstable for some food. We had a brief look at the menu online and thought we'd give it a go.What a lovely pub, it has a great interior, general selection of drinks you could expect. Nice garden area, and the restaurant upstairs was fantastic. The food was exceptional and had incredible value for money. We were served by a wonderful woman who was behind the bar and guided us upstairs, she kept the logs going and was even kind enough that she charged my phone behind the bar. I would absolutely recommend this place for some good old English food. We had the scampi. What makes it great is that the menus kept simple short and sweet. Nothing too complicated or expensive.Only thing I would say is you should do is bring back the Fish and Chips! I think it'd fit right into the menu. We'll be back sometime in the future. Fantastic thank you for the hospitality and the food ?.

First visit and would definitely return. The place was warm and welcoming and food was really good. I had homemade chicken Kieve, and it was a generous portion, my companion had scampi and chips which was also really good.

Nice low lighting and low ceilings made the atmosphere in this pub very pleasant. Singha on tap and loads of boardgames available to use. A single gin and tonic and a pint of Spitfire lager was £12.20 so prices seemed very reasonable.

Nice restaurant area and nice food! Recommend the sausage & mash or pork chop. The pub bar area downstairs was a little quiet and chilly, but the fire upstairs was great!
