Thirty Nine Whitstable
39 Oxford St, WhitstableRead some great reviews about “Thirty Nine” so had to try out what the praise was all about. Having lost a couple of decent Cafe’s in Ashford recently we reserved a table and travelled up. Service was welcoming and we were early from our reserved time which was no issue.Ordered our Coffee’s and food. 20minutes or so for the food to arrive. Fisherman’s and an English Breakfast.Fisherman’s arrived complete and looked great and was enjoyed. English wasWithout Egg due to breaking during cooking and were preparing others meanwhile. Baked Beans were cold but the Tomatoes and Sausage were really nice. Coffees were good. Great potential but just need some minor improvements for 5 stars. Thank you. Extra Bacon and Mushrooms were deducted from the bill on account of cold beans. We’ll be back when passing. Thank You.

Sabara
88 High St, WhitstableI walked in not knowing what to order as I don’t have Indian food very often and forget the names. I was served by the gentleman that also delivers and he was incredibly helpful, patient and extremely happy in he’s job.The meal, just for me, was made to measure more than I realised but I managed to squeeze it in and the taste was absolutely beautiful, so much so that I’m ordering from here very often in future. The problem is, I don’t want to change anything as it was so reallllly lovely and I throughly enjoyed every last spoonful.Vegetarian options: I did not order vegetarian dishes but they were availableDietary restrictions: Every meal on the menu that has dietary requirements is very clearly markedParking: As early evening approaches, free parking outside on the main road is availableKid-friendliness: There were very comfortable chairs for both parents and children to use for waitingWheelchair accessibility: Although I wasn’t using a wheel chair, the entrance was level, safe and wide enough

A La Turka Ramsgate
110-114 Harbour Parade, RamsgateCAN NOT FAULT.I am very particular but I was so impressed with this restaurant. Everything was brilliant, came here for a birthday and there were 10 of us, we were accommodated accordingly and looked after so well. Special mention and a big mention to Rich, brilliant service, so helpful and friendly!! He checked on us multiple times and made sure everything was perfect, really impressed with his service. The food was amazing, we live in London and one of my favourite cuisines is Turkish and this definitely was up there. The only thing I found a little strange was the vegetable kebab on the platter that we weren’t allowed to change for something else. Other than that, the food was amazing, we had cold and hot meze and they were both amazing. THE CALAMARI STARTER? Cheap and such a big portion, incredible. Honestly everything was sensational. The house salad was the best Turkish salad I’ve ever had, the bread was lovely and warm and the choices on the menu were extensive.Maybe as an extra touch, the glasses for coke having a slice of lemon would’ve been nice but not the end of the world.Promote RICH. He deserves it, very impressive and made our whole experience even better.Very very good prices and a very good experience overall. Definitely recommend!

Street Kings Smoke Shack Whitstable
Kings Smoke Shack, Street, 49 Oxford St, WhitstableWent for a Bottomless BBQ on Sunday. Was absolutely fantastic, the food is top top tier BBQ with beautifully succulent meats including chicken, brisket, pulled pork and then delicious sides of mac n cheese, coleslaw and sausage and beans. Every single component on the tray, which repeats as part of the bottomless in the hour time, are perfect. And for 19.90 pp it is a STEAL if you eat more than one tray. Furthermore my raspberry and coconut soda was spot on. Service was lovely, attentive and quick as well. Overall a brilliant experience.

Costa Coffee
9 High Street, WhitstableComing into Costa in Whitstable was an absolute treat. We don't venture out very often but we decided that we would visit. The manager, I think her name was Adele, she is an absolute asset to the company. With care, a cheery disposition and a truly warm welcome, she is the definition of professionalism and warmth. Every customer she came into contact with had her undivided attention. The fortunate looking male that accompanied her, Tommy I think his name was, had the same disposition. What a great atmosphere to witness. The facilities were impeccable which cannot be said for some of the branches I have visited. Will DEFINITELY visit again and would like to thank such a lovely team for a truly astonishing experience.

26 High St, WhitstableLove food, great selection of allergy choices. All products are sourced locally, which I love. Decent prices, especially when considering the quality of food. Friendly and helpful staff. Love this cafe.Dietary restrictions: Great selections of alternative milks, vegan cheese available. Staff knowledgeable of allergens.Wheelchair accessibility: Small kurb at door, easy to get in but slightly harder to get out. Near the drinks fridge is quite slim but passable (electric wheelchair- if you have good practise with your mobility aid). Should be fine on crutches, wheeler, or if being assisted in wheelchair. Keith's Coffee Hut
3-4 Sea Wall, WhitstableStopped here today after a walk along the seafront. Lovely friendly couple running this little place. We are a family of four and had fish finger sandwiches, beef sandwich and brie and bacon toasties. My younger daughter wanted to try the Scampi and they very kindly gave her some Scampi on the side of her sandwich! All seating is outside and we sat there listening to waves of sea and people watching. Highly recommend this place, even if its just for a coffee! Love to see little businesses busy. We will be back next time we travel to Whitstable. Thank you to you both.

Porto Wine Bar
61 Harbour St, WhitstableVisited this lovely place on a recommendation before our dinner booking elsewhere. Helio and the team were extremely welcoming and gave excellent wine recommendations, so much so that we bought a bottle to take with us to dinner (it was BYOB). We loved it so much we went back for a night cap after dinner, and both times we were extremely lucky we got the same seats straight away! The interior is super cute and cosy - would 100% recommend if you’re in Whitstable!

Basil and Co Ristorante Italiano
101 Tankerton Rd, Tankerton, WhitstableLast night my husband and I attended Basil and Co for a beautiful incredible dinner. From the moment we walked in we felt at ease and met the owner of the restaurant. She kindly went through our menu options and made us feel comfortable. We could not fault the service, atmosphere or the dinner. What made it even more special, was meeting the Chef, Sammy and his training Chef, Soren. They both came out to introduce themselves and ensure we were all happy with our meal. Outstanding!I also judge a restaurant on their toilets!! Now, these were extremely clean, which is extremely rare to see.Keep up the good work... we cannot praise you enough. We can't wait to come back soon.

Birdies Restaurant
41 Harbour St, WhitstableThis is a small, pretty expensive very nice restaurant. The menu is quite limited and definitely to be avoided if not a lover of sea food. They were accommodating to requirements and the food was high quality and cooked perfectly. A few minor niggles about the service - both my daughter and myself had king prawns as a main course and the portions were generous. We were not given dishes for the peelings (we used the veg dishes) and had to ask for extra napkins and some wipes. A finger bowl would have been more effective. Of course we made an almighty mess but nobody came to remove the top tablecloth as expected so we had dessert and coffee surrounded by the grease and remnants of dinner. These are small things, but given the prices, they are things I would expect as a matter of course. If you love seafood, you've got deep pockets and you don't have exacting standards when it comes to service, make a beeline for Birdies.

Old Neptune
Marine Terrace, Island Wall, WhitstableI was at The Old Neptune this week and decided to share my experience. It is one of those rare pubs that is actually on the beach. It is not big and modern with all the bells and whistles of a new pub. It is old and small with wooden floors that are uneven and the place is a bit wonky (in a good way). That being said, it is a lovely and genuine place, nothing pretentious and not trying to be something it is not. A warm day and the place is busy, with crowds of people filling the outdoor seating area and enjoying the spectacular views. The place is lively and has a real buzz when the sun is out. On another day, it is not so nice out, and everyone is inside filling the place with chatter and laughter. I have eaten here previously, but not this time as the lure of the chippy shop chips on the beach was too great, but i did spend a few hours savouring a few pints and reading a book outside. They have a pretty good menu and on my trips in and out of the bar, saw a few people eating with great enthusiasm. Remember, it is an old pub on the beach, not a high-end restaurant, so the menu is workable and appropriate, with fish and seafood a feature. There is a selection of beers and lagers (some local, of course), and all in all, a good choice of wine, spirits, snacks, and nibbles. I found the staff friendly and chatty, with a good sense of humour. So it is small, it can get really busy, the floors are uneven and you may have to queue for the loo, but it is a warm and comforting place, with the most amazing views. It is a place where I always spend more time that I plan to (it's too easy to get caught up in the atmosphere or the views) and feel welcome each time I go.
