The Rock Lodge
15-17 Oxford St, WhitstableVisited The Rock Lodge and had a really great experience. We ordered the charcuterie board, loaded fries, and frickles (deep-fried pickles), and everything was absolutely delicious. The food was fresh, well presented, and full of flavour.
The service was excellent — really friendly staff and nothing was too much trouble, which made the visit feel very relaxed and welcoming. It’s also dog friendly, which is always a big plus for us.
It was pre-season when we went, so it was nice and quiet with a very chilled atmosphere. Enjoyed a very good pint of Guinness too, which topped it all off.
Would definitely come back and highly recommend to anyone looking for good food, good service, and a relaxed place to stop.

JoJo’s Meze, Meat & Fish Restaurant
2 Herne Bay Rd, WhitstableWe went to JoJo's this evening while on a visit to Kent for our anniversary. We had never had Meze before but we were guided through the menu. We made our choices and have to say it was amazing. We had a large bowl of mussels, calamari, asparagus and risotto balls. The flavours were so good and everything was cooked to perfection. The staff were so friendly and helpful which made our visit very special. We will definitely be returning to Kent and will make a return visit to JoJo's.

I don't like scones much, but loved cheese and walnut scone there as well.
It's easy to miss this place, outside ut looks like a gift shop, but inside it hides those bakery delights. We will be back, notoriously.

Don’t come here the vibes aren’t immaculate the food isn’t perfect.. ok all that is actually true but please if you discover this local gem don’t ruin it for us. Tell the tourists it’s overrated. 13 High St, WhitstableHad such a lovely experience at Ala Turka. The food was absolutely delicious and full of flavour, but what really made the night stand out was the service. Shivani and Nikki were both amazing, so friendly, attentive, and made us feel really comfortable throughout. They checked in at the right times without being overbearing, and their recommendations were spot on.
You can tell they genuinely care about the guests, which makes a huge difference. Will definitely be coming back!

Oxford St, WhitstableBest meal in whitstable for a long time, took my Nan here for her birthday and the service an food was amazing these people know their stuff, fast service with a great deal of efficiency, also dog friendly which is a massive plus as well as their massive beer garden which I can imagine gets packed in the summer, can’t wait to come back!Vegetarian options: The veggie options are just as good as the normal options!Dietary restrictions: We have a gluten free in our group and was difficult to find somewhere that catered for all of us, They have a gluten free options which saved our evening thinking we couldn’t find anywhere that does nice gluten free dishes but the east Kent pulled through and saved our evening

South Quay the Harbour, WhitstableWe chose a beautiful barmy evening for this delightful restaurant, so it appealed especially. As it was quiet at 6.30pm the staff were able to chat to us and put us completely at ease.
The seafood was fresh, delicious and well presented. I agree the pricing was rather high (twice the price of the previous evening meal)! But the venue was perfect.

180A Cromwell Rd, WhitstableArrived this week from Canada and continuing my tour of Whitstable’s great food scene. First Love Coffee is a standout. The Grilled Breakfast was spot on; the bacon was wonderful, and the Bubble and Squeak was a delicious first-time revelation for me.
The staff are incredibly welcoming and even suggested a walk to Whitstable Castle afterward, which is a must-see. A fantastic addition to my Whitstable journey. Highly recommended!

4 Oxford St, WhitstableA must-visit cafe in Whitstable, serving the best brewed coffee. The have an amazing variety of coffee beans and the extraction is just perfect. There's a beautiful depth to their coffee flavours. Service is great. I even took their advice on the coffee beans to buy and I'm loving it. There isn't a lot of place to sit in the cafe but they have an adjoining space filled with books and stationery to browse and buy.

The beef wellington was delightful but surprisingly, the star of the show was the vegetables that came with it. The staff were friendly and attentive, special thanks to the waitress who answered our questions. We would definitely come back and would recommend booking for those who are interested in visiting.

32 Church St, WhitstableWe visited on a Tuesday night and the pub and restaurant were quite busy. We had a warm welcome and friendly from the landlord and waitress. The food was lovely traditional pub food, local sausages and mash and a chicken and ham pie and mash. Served with fresh vegetables which were included in the price (as they should be imo!). We had a very nice evening and will return next time we’re in Whitstable. The owner of our Airbnb recommended two other places to eat and I’ll tell her to recommend The Monument too!

I had the full breakfast which around £12.00 and that included toast or bread & butter with a drink. I had a latte which was lovely. Bacon was lovely and thick and cooked well. Beans we're nice and thick and sausage was lovely quality. Eggs were perfect and runny. Would highly recommend. They had all other options on the menu from main meals and bagels.

And the regulars are really friendly.
Prices for drinks very reasonable and fantastic pictures of the pub way back in the day.
This history of the pub is amazing.
Its off the main road into Whitstable High Street on the left.
Had a chat with Nick the Landlord and what a lovley fella.
Highly recommended 5*
Very much looking forward to a Sunday roast in the future on our return visit.

48 Harbour St, WhitstableVisited this restaurant with my partner for dinner last night upon a friend’s recommendation. It did NOT disappoint. The food was exquisite. Freshly cooked, and bursting with flavour. Didn’t even stop to take photos as we were enjoying the dishes so much! We ordered fresh bread and oil/vinegar, Padron peppers, potatas bravas, crispy chicken thighs, chorizo, croquettas, orange and beetroot goats curd salad - every dish unique and as good as the last. The service we received was exceptional. Highly recommend to anyone thinking of visiting. We can’t wait to go back next time we return to Whitstable.
