The food is very tasty and you get a good portion size. The pricing is very good for the size and quality you get. Need to get in early as possible as gets very busy and is easy to see why. The staff were very friendly and made conversation with our child which is also very nice as sometimes can be stressful. We have been here last week and had the carrot cake and that was delicious. Everything is cooked or made fresh in-house.

Afternoon tea on saturday was fantastic. The food was beautifully presented, and tasted amazing. By far the best I've had. Really nice touch that it wasn't just sandwiches in the savory section. Service was great, everyone friendly and attentive.Will definitely be going back.

Super dog friendly, lovely customer service and the food is amazing!We did have a bit of a wait for a table (which we didn't mind) the table was clean Before we were seated. Really high standards, even when busy.The food is worth waiting for!Tankertons hidden gem and the best place for lunch!Can't wait to come back!

Our experience today was awful. Arrived rang the bell outside as instructed the door was opened by the rudest woman who simply told us “ we are full “ then went to close the door we asked if she had any idea of how long the wait would be only to be told“ I have no idea how long people are going to take to eat “ disappointing as we have had some lovely food in this place.

Love this place! Visit reasonably often with my mum and have enjoyed many a coffee, cold drink, sweet treat or freshly made lunch. The decor and design of the cafe is gorgeous and so well thought out. It can get busy but I guess that is because of its charm. Even better than all this though are the staff. They are absolutely lovely! I always feel like I’m a visiting guest rather than paying customer….and the fact that they welcome dogs is the icing on the cake! It’s a pleasure supporting such a brilliant small and local business.

Booked the Christmas afternoon high tea with friends who were visiting over Christmas. I have lived local for 10 years so was surprised to hear this place has been open for 7 years. We were all taken by surprise by the huge amount of food per person. Absolutely no chance of eating it all and we were happy to hear we could get takeaway boxes. The quality of food was amazing and so delicious, I can’t really say what we liked most. The staff are so welcoming and now we know about you, we’ll definitely return to try more of those delicious sandwiches.
The bright, and festive exterior, was not reflected by the cold, obnoxious "welcome" on arrival, for our group of 6 ladies. We all agreed, we felt more of an irritant, than valued customers, and our festive mood was immediately dampened . The refreshments were reasonable, but the venue, as visited before, was cold, (much like the host). On departure, we paid individually, which turned out to be the "bain of the hosts' life" quote !!!! Well, needless to say, none of us will be returning, or recommending !!!!

What a find! A quirky little food/ toy shop and really first class café.The food was excellent. We had a baked potato with pulled pork filling, and a baked camembert with fig and apple chutney and sourdough bread. All homemade and really tasty. The staff were all very friendly and super professional.I would recommend this place to anybody without hesitation. If we lived in the area, we would go there as often as possible.
