We visited for drinks as a group of 10, the staff were friendly and there was a good range of drinks available.We would return if we were in the area again.
Since the last landlords (Sean and Sarah, Sean and Emma even the young lad jack) it's gone very, very down hill. Food is frozen (even though the landlady states otherwise, the "sell out roasts" well that's another thing.. Oliver twist had better looking meals. The atmosphere has drastically died down and the way they treat staff is beyond a joke also removing negative feedback is disgraceful, you're meant to ask how to improve on things not just remove them entirely. Safe to say I'll definitely not be going back unless the new landlady is gone. Also what is your food hygiene rating as it's not displayed which it is meant to be

Well, what can I say, firstly my cheese and onion pie was delicious, no complaints there. However, my partner's Sunday Beef Roast dinner was terrible. The beef was so tough he was unable to eat it, the carrots were dry and shrivelled, the parsnips were raw and hard. Two of the other people in our party had exactly the issues with their meat and veg. When we discussed this with the staff they just said they would let the chef know. I was taken aback as there was no apology, no means of making it up to us. We were asked as soon as our meals turned up if everything was okay and we had barely even started to eat. My partner said this is the worst meal he has even eaten and we have eaten in some dives.Would never go back there to eat and would strongly advise others not to waste their money.

No real ales on draft, the neck oil was over £5 a Pint! This is Clayton-le-Moors! Nice staff, quick service. Not a fan of karaoke so left swiftly when it went

Really enjoyed our food the service was spot on , the chef made pizza especially for the children , lasagna really good ! We will be back

Food ok badly presented don't want everything piied under a Yorkshire pudding and don't want to sit for a meal surrounded by tvs with football on withal really looking forward to our meal but a great disappointment

Out walking and dining later so popped in here for a sandwich. Ordered an egg sandwich and chips, took half an hour, had to chase it up, they weren't busy. Sneezed in the toilet, no loo roll. They did have Sky Sports on TV if I remember rightly.

Had a lovely fathers day here today ,food was a bit random coming out but that was because the poor chef was on his own but didn't want our food to be cold ( legend) best afternoon out in ages be back soon guys
