We called in here today on the off chance that they had a free table for lunch. The lady that greeted us was lovely and found us a table straight away, bringing us menus and the special boards and took our drinks order while we chose. The inside is lively and clean and well presented. There was no feeling of being rushed at any point. My partner ordered a club sandwich and a coffee and I ordered a sweet chilli wrap and a Diet Coke. We didn’t have to wait long, while the food was cooked freshly for us. The portions were huge and so well presented. It was absolutely delicious, the chef came out and asked if everything was ok, it was more than ok! It was fantastic. The total bill came to just £18. We will definitely return here and highly recommend. Thank you for your hospitality, great staff food. A gem of a place.

I was looked at askance as I was told it was a TEMPERANCE BAR.? ? ? rather sheepishly I asked what they served and ended up with ? ? mushroom and steak PIE + Cappuccino.Excellent, I REALLY enjoyed it.

We'd been shopping and found this place hidden in plain sight. Just fancied some lunch and a drink of something hot and this ticked both boxes. The food was excellent. We decided against an evening meal that night as we were still full from lunch. My burger was great and my wife's steak, mushroom and blue cheese ciabatta looked beautiful (as long as you're not a vegan). I'd have that next time. And the burger again the time after that. I'd have to try the rest if the menu sometime though.

Such a disappointment. Friendly staff took my drink order asked me to wait awhile before she could take my breakfast order. Then some 10 mins later informed me there was no bacon ? ( What's the point in going out for breakfast without bacon?) So I paid and left
