Charged ten pound for two portions of sausage chips and curry sauce when we had ordered two cans of coke with the food which they tried telling us we never ordered when it was said loud and clear when challenged about this she said she only charged for chips and curry twice on menu it states £3.70 so why for two people was it ten pound with no drinks that we ordered customer service is shocking and I wouldn’t recommend this place. Walls are dirty ceilings falling to bits in places waited at least 15 mins for food and when biting into sausage bits was cold and hard dirty looks given from staff when we tried to talk about the order and small portions you need to learn as a business how to treat customers and look into their issues instead of overcharging and being arrogant never what it used to be when an old woman run the place

Not great looking building on the outside but the fish, chips and curry where great. Been going here on and off for 30 years. Never had a bad meal!

Very good food, only criticism is that I ordered coffee and didn't get one. Staff are friendly but have limited English so they struggle to understand sometimes what your asking for.

We use the chippery fairly regularly, when we do not have time to sort out tea, on each occasion we have been quite satisfied with what we have bought, the only thing I would say is that the portions are good, so it may be that one portion of chips may be sufficient for two people, if they have small appetites, I would certainly recommend the shop!

Called in again after going for years, (every couple of months) or so. Have had a terrible appetite for a few weeks (not being able to taste food), got the sausage chips and gravy. I enjoyed every mouthfull, full of flavour, served by very friendly and courteous staff/owners? Will go back yet again next timeI visit Blackburn.

So where do I start I ordered a butter pie and chips and fish and chips I waited for 20 Mins initially and watched other people come and get served whilst I still waited for my order I eventually managed to catch the eye of one of the 4 people behind the counter a he asked me what I’d ordered, he didn’t seem to understand English and got someone else to serve me he also asked me what I’d ordered and also didn’t understand me and disappeared in to the back and got the woman who’d initially taken my order who also asked me again what I’d ordered I was beginning to get a bit fed up by this point and I finally saw food being packed for me after nearly 45 mins I was once agin asked what I’d ordered and they still left off the fish I was handed a bag and when I asked where the fish was the guy said it was in the bag, I disagreed and said they’d not put it in there and he mumbled it was so I got the box back out of the bag and opened it up to reveal just chips and no fish, honestly they where charging me for a fish I hadn’t been given and had the privelege of waiting for nearly an hour for that after being asked 6 times what I wanted by 5 different people I will never go in there again, it used to be a great chip shop, not any more ! The food was sadly not very good

Called in for the first time for Saturday lunch it definitely won't be the last time. Very tasty, perfectly cooked. Not greasy like some chippys. Very good reasonable priced choice on the menu. You can eat in or takeaway. Fast service of friendly staff. Was busy that goes to show how good the food is. Will definitely go again

Absolutely fantastic fish and chips you cannot get better anywhere I’ve eaten in some top restaurants all over Lancashire I never had fish and chips like it me and my neighbour go at least twice a week great service and a lovely family run business
