Booked a week’s break in the Yorkshire Dales. Remembered that Lisa was chef at a Michelin starred restaurant. Looked it up and was really pleased to be able to book for a Friday lunchtime. Just went for the 3/4 course Spring Menu with some of the wine pairings. Food excellent. Wine also. Despite going for one of the less expensive menus on offer we were treated in an exemplary fashion by all of the team. At the risk of being pilloried for a pun- we have had a ‘taster’, and will certainly return for the ‘full’ experience!

We were served by Afshan who was most welcoming and helpful. The restaurant has a really nice atmosphere, good music and the decor is inviting. It was a pleasant surprise to find out the chicken tikka sizzler, which was absolutely delicious, was also cooked by Afshan who served us. Have been twice since and definitely recommend.

The other dish in the photo is chicken tikka on naan and was also delicious.

Perfect experience. We have dined in black bull few times and attended a function there. Always top experience. This time I was after take away fish and chips. I messaged, got reply within minutes, nothing was too much trouble, I told I’ll be there in 30 minutes, when arrived, all was ready. Staff super friendly. Food presented beautifully and best file h and chips around. Massive portion of fresh fish, crispy batter and super crispy chips. All the sauces you could wish for, and even came with surprise brownies. Highly recommended. 5 stars to chef, staff and managers. Thank you Anna

This is my 3rd time visiting, i always make time to come here on my travels from london.

Food is very good, as you can see portions sizes are brilliant.

Food is absolutely top notch, it's been bang on every single time.

Most importantly, the place has a wicked aura. Really nice feeling when you want to have a nice meal.

Parking is great too, having it's own car park.

First time tonight trying this place. Service was good, quite quick. Burgers were well packaged and not just slung in a tray.
The quality of the burgers was excellent. I had the Hamilton burger and it was bang on. Nice and juicy without being sloppy, really tasty, nice and fresh. Paprika fries on the side were spot on too. Would definitely recommend.

We went for breakfast yesterday and received a warm welcome as soon as we walked in.The food was delicious and though it was not on the menu the lovely owner made an arabic coffee for us.Would definitely recommend going here .They have daily specials which we will be going back for.The cafe is very comfortable with an authentic decor.The food is made fresh so please do not go when you are in a hurry. This is a place to go for great food and a chat.

I’ve been here in England from Boston,MA,USA a few times and this place is by far the best place so far that I have eaten at!!!!!

Started getting chips from here almost a weekly ritual the irish curry is amazing not yet to try fish, however coming from 20 miles away and working in great harwood this chippy is way superior than anywhere near me so thinking of bringing the fam over, 1 small tiny thing a couple of weeks the trays have been less than half full of chips but usually it is bursting so just a tiny thing to mention wont ruin the 5 star though as they really are yummy.

Absolute top quality service and shop ran by a single owner for over 35 years. I have been a regular customer for many years and I have good reason so. Everytime I visit the shop for a cheeky kebab I am always greeted with a warm and welcoming smile. The atmosphere is very chilled and inviting and there is an air of comfort whenever I step into the vicinity. For a regular like me I always enjoy spending some extra time in the shop just for the banter alone that I am sure I wouldn’t get anywhere else. I am always offered extra as the owner makes sure to go the extra mile for each and every customer. Much prefer a local kebab house with one owner to the bigger and more careless establishments as a lot more care and genuine service is delivered, as this shop perfectly demonstrates. The service is fantastic but the food is something on a whole different level. There is a small but appealing menu with a wide range of flavours and choices, perfectly catered for all tastebuds. Instantaneously, I am hit with aromatic and mouth-watering flavours and smells with the most freshest of ingredients being used for each meal. Don’t get me started on the drinks choices. I am spoilt for choice everytime I have a meal and the Boss man ensures to deliver the most authentic and homemade flavours and quality service. Definitely one of the top choices around the town that leaves every customer fully satisfied and fulfilled with the most pleasant experience and feeling. The epitome of what a local kebab house should be. There isn’t enough stars available for me to rate this place. I couldn’t rate the place highly enough and I could go on all day about the countless perfect experiences I have had at Shahi Kebab House, but I think I will leave it here and let you be the judge of my words ? Decided to stop here on the way home out of convenience after not coming here in just aover 12 months.
Ordered a 12 inch pizza for £7.50 and was told there was a offer of 2x12 inch pizzas for £10.
Ordered 2 pizzas and a cheeseburger meal.
The place looks tired and run down since I last visited and is in dire needs for a makeover and attention to decor because the first impression as you walk in is to walk back out.
The menu is extensive and the prices very reasonable and competitive.
On first conclusion the pizzas where tasty but lacking the amount of topping I found at my usual eaterie.
The cheeseburger meal was as good as a basic cheeseburger would look and taste like nothing outstanding but nothing dire as well.
All in all out of 10 I would rate it as a strong 6.
Would I order from here again?
Yes. I would like to try a few more dishes that looked tempting on the billboard menu in the shop ( no takeaway paper menus ).
