We always come to C&G for breakfast/brunch probably every other week. I have never seen the venue so busy when we came in today and it’s so lovely to see because it always hits the mark every time we go and it definitely did today without a doubt. Props to the staff because they were honestly so rushed off their feet but they all did amazing. Only one slight slip up with payment but they sorted it without question. A sign of great venue is that even when it’s so busy the standard is the same every single time. See you all soon ?

The night staff here are fantastic! I often visit after work between 11pm and 1am and due to the incredible staff find myself actively going for a chat and a catch up with the staff while they work the nightshift. Aneesa, Sarah and Jen are incredible; having a familiar face to see after a long shift is always great, and these 3 never dissapoint. I can say that their attitude and dedication to customer service has undoubtedly made me choose to shop here after work, rather than just heading straight home. It's fantastic that it's 24hours, but that's only made effective by the welcome of the three mentioned rather than a typical, grumpy nightshift worker. I spend ridiculous amounts of time chatting with them at ridiculous hours of the morning, but this never gets in the way of them completing what needs doing, serving other customers and ensuring a job well done. The change to Londis hasn't been one that's looked on positively, and I think many will agree the M&S is missed, but like I say, it's down to these 3 that the business still has my custom, and I'm sure that's the same for so many people. The shop itself is always clean, tidy and as mentioned the staff are attentive. The price of petrol is locally famous as being more expensive than anywhere else, but factoring in convenience helps subside that negative - but I just wanted to focus the review on the Aneesa, Sarah and Jen to show appreciation for their company and laughs, and hope that management can see this and appreciate what I hope are extremely valued members of staff.

Absolutely stunning venue. We went for dinner but you can still get an idea of the surroundings. Massive place with loads of indoor and outdoor seating. For us though most importantly it was dog friendly. Only on the bar side but if you book they will reserve a table on that side to have your pooch with you at the table.Now the food. One word. Amazing! There is a specials menu that has a number of good combinations but if it's not to your liking the regular menu is almost as good.Only downside is there isn't any local beers so have to settle for regular ones but the wine selection compensate for the lack of beer choice.

Booked a week’s break in the Yorkshire Dales. Remembered that Lisa was chef at a Michelin starred restaurant. Looked it up and was really pleased to be able to book for a Friday lunchtime. Just went for the 3/4 course Spring Menu with some of the wine pairings. Food excellent. Wine also. Despite going for one of the less expensive menus on offer we were treated in an exemplary fashion by all of the team. At the risk of being pilloried for a pun- we have had a ‘taster’, and will certainly return for the ‘full’ experience!

Phenomenal food.If you're going to go here and expect a 15-minute wait between ordering and eating, you can forget about it.This place is like going to your favourite auntys house. It's homemade, fresh, quality food. Every single thing gets made once it's ordered, so expect to sit and spend some quality time with whoever you're with.The flavours were insane, soooo good!Each thing we ordered was on point! Especially the coconut flavoured chicken.We normally always over-order and end up with leftovers, but every single item got finished.We had homemade kulfi ice cream afterwards, which was deliciously rich and creamy. The service was friendly and welcoming - like I said, it's like going to your aunty's house.Would definitely recommend going and trying a few dishes. It's relatively well priced and well worth a visit.

The Bonny Inn

Another absolutely fantastic visit to The Bonny Inn. It's my birthday weekend, and so I wanted a 'treat yourself' meal out. The food and service at the Bonny were absolutely top notch. Bonus of a singer on as well which I hadn't seen in advance, and he was brilliant too! I highly recommend the steak and always, always have the Chocolate Bar if it's on the menu. Simply heavenly!

Last night I left a poor review which was very fare the owner contacted me to see why the poor review when I explained why he was genuinely annoyed that the meal I ordered wasn't to my expectation (so tonight he redelivered the same order and it was absolutely delicious lovely and hot which makes the meal far more enjoyable I would like to say a massive thank you to the owner for his understanding and support thank you once again ?
