Went for a mother's day brunch, food took forever, we ran out of the time we told them we had. It turned up just as we were about to leave, I think they forgot us but still wanted to charge us, not that they said, The food was rushed and poor, the bacon was overcooked and very dry, likely the leftovers from breakfast. The poached eggs were undercooked, None of the 5 brunches were any good, and we were charged a fortune even though they knew they had messed up. Poor service, poor food and expensive. What is there to like.

Ignored on arrival, cafetiere didn't work. Eggs benedict lovely, but after that ignored again. In the end gave up and went home.

The food was good when it came They couldn't cope with the number of people they had booked in. There were 10 of us we never got asked if we wanted a drink from the bar and when we asked for coffee after our 3rd time of asking we just got the bill and went somewhere else big letdown

Had a lovely stay at The Millstone. Room was upgraded as a special treat for our wedding anniversary, room was very spacious and comfortable. Despite it being above the bar, I had been worried about noise, but this was not a factor at all and it was very peaceful. Food was of a high quality and really delicious. The staff were all very friendly and helpful. Would definitely return to stay again in the future!

Very nice food, has some real ales to choose from and very friendly and attentive staff. We stayed in a nice room and also had a lovely full English breakfast. Also dog friendly, although that comes with an extra charge for overnight stays.

I would like to share my experience of having a meal at the restaurant last weekend. We went for a birthday ? celebration and regretted it.It started with placing our small grop next to a party table of 14-16 people, although the restaurant was pretty empty. The food for all 3 of us was not cooked well. The chips were overcooked and vegetables were testless. Both steaks were undercooked and a chicken burger was not good either. The steak meal for one costs £23 - £26.We did not enjoy the time or food at restaurant. We were coming to this restaurant for many years and the food was alway good.It is very disappointing to take your family for a nice food and be upset by a bad quality of it.
