Modern store with good selection

lesley “it is what it is”

Staff are 99% friendly but everybody can have an off day they go the extra mile and have a laugh with the customer. They care about their local customers and always pick yp the phone for any enquiries and remember the caller when they go in .People who read any reviews need to take into consideration that every reviewer has a different experience no matter where they go and to honestly make up their own opinion and have their own opinion about all places they visit

Some of the staff are not very helpful. Went in trying to redeem my gas/elecky voucher, in the end didn't get it. Instead been told to come back in 2 days? to redeem it again.

Polite staff. Clean well stocked shop

It's always the same in this store the female staff are rude do not know what a smile is and have no patience what so ever they seriously need to learn what the meaning of customer service is bad management I say. The staff in the Co op Abingdon Street are much more friendly and helpful.

I have previously worked at this store. Horrible place. Staff members are inconsiderate. The methods they force you to use to complete tasks make things difficult for you.:- No bags on the back of trollies meaning disposing of cardboard and plastic is harder.- The equipment to keep the cigs up right being broken causing them to fall and make a mess.- The locks for the scratch cards have to be shut at all times so you have to unlock it each time you serve which makes things more awkward.- Limited space in the back meaning moving products around is difficult.- If you are learning a new skill some of the staff act very condescending towards you and make sure you know that this is a pain for them.- They actively encourage you to not take your break. The manager wont give you holidays on the days you actually want them meaning I had to work during my birthday.A lot of the staff don't seem to care what they say in front of customers. The management is atrocious.Working at Coop is a good job I just wouldn't recommend this store.

Former Staff Worker Here - A while ago. I got asked to do a cover-shift for this store because they were heavily short staffed...after doing a day there. No bloody wonder.Old woman team leader swearing on the shop sloor and being a miserable around customers. No consideration or awareness for people around her. Despite me coming up North on my day off to help them out. She was the most unappreciate person I've ever worked with and had a terrible attitude. I didn't even get work break. They would only cover 1st journey of my taxi. Doing a day there would earn me around £45. And one journey from home to their store was £20 taxi fare. But after telling them no, they changed it and said "they would through the system". But still didn't hear anything and I am 90% sure they still didn't pay through.Shortly after, I told my bosses that if they're begging for help, they can jog on. I told my coworkers to NOT go into that store if they asking for help.Horribe woman and if the roles were reversed. I would've sacked her.

Avoid avoid avoid. Used to go here frequently. Only a couple of friendly staff. Most are miserable as sin and/or stressed. I actually got shouted at by an angry female member of staff one time for walking in the wrong direction ??. I also found out of date sandwiches on the shelves. Also, one time I was in the ceiling was leaking from 4 different places.

I'm a regular here and the staff are always friendly and helpful. Believe it or not even Neil smiles occasionally.

Worst shop in Layton with overpriced items, miserable staff and poor queuing system. Avoid. P&G Stores and Morrisons are much better shops with cheaper items, nice staff and proper queuing system.
