I have been a couple of times to the Royal Oak. First impressions can put you off, but stick with it, it is worth it.Definitely a locals pub, but does get some tourists. Very big pub that is family run with very little Bat staff. Once someone starts chatting to you you relax. Loved every second of our time there. It was a charity day and the way everyone pitched in was perfect. Local or not this place is top notch. No air's and graces just as it should be. We will be back. Our 6 year old son danced the day away on the dance floor and the people were very friendly. Our kind of pub.
