I went to the crooked billet at 4 pm last Saturday and when I got my peas and pie, there was a large bite mark on it. The food apart from that was good but I believe the child working there had something to do with it since he kept looking at me and at one point, even started to drool.

Only had a beer but great friendly atmosphere and nice outdoor seating area. Good choice if draught beer.

Our favourite pub ?Great choice of real ales and lagers.Famous hangers pies being served, set in a beautiful village with fantastic local people.The billet offers live music nights, dj nights and the famous pop quiz nights, last Sunday in the month, which we love going to.Alison and Paul are amazing at running their wonderful pub and such lovely people. The staff they have on are really nice happy people too.Highly recommend this pub.We travel a good way to visit, it will always be our favourite little 'proper pub'Xx

A stunning and well kept boozer, perfect stop off after a dog walk round Hurstwood Res for a no nonsense pub lunch in the sunshine, 2x pie and peas, 3 pints, change out of £25. Splendid.
