Lovely Indian restaurant with an extensive menu! Half of us ordered off special sunday set menu and loved it. Huge portions for a set menu and everyone thoroughly enjoyed it. Other half ordered the vegan options of channa massala, dhal, mushroom and aubergine massala with chapati and roti. Nice to see vegan options clearly labelled on the menu. Only critisim was the vegan fondant was served cold and not like a hot lava cake as advertised. Excellent service, very attentive and food arrived soon after ordering. Prices were reasonable too! Would definitely return again.

Sunday lunch, my favourite ever meal and today at the Trawden Arms was so very very good. I think the best ever cauliflower cheese I have ever had, so cheesy, brown crispy top, but the rest was also so tasty I have not a single issue with anything on the plate, which incidentally was also hot which for me is non negotiable when eating out. My husband had the mixed grill, his second and also did not disappoint ? our 3rd visit in about a month and we will be back, often ???

Amazing place to see local bands and enjoy a couple of drinks. You can get a good view of the bands that are on no matter where you are in loom you will always have a good view. They always have good bands on not seen a bad one yet I don't think they is anything they need to improve except from more food options. I highly recommend this place for party's pub crawling or just a general place to hangout with your friends.

Absolutely love this place!
I can’t rate it highly enough. The staff are incredibly friendly and engaging, which makes the whole experience even better. The premises are bright, clean, and welcoming whether you're dining in or taking away. There's also a customer toilet available, which is always a bonus.

This is the second time I’ve visited while down in Burnley, and honestly, I wouldn’t go anywhere else now. I’ve realised I can’t get this kind of quality especially the Burgerrizza and those amazing milkshakes anywhere in Manchester. So now, it’s become a proper treat whenever I’m in Burnley.

The chips with red salt and burgerritza are a must-try, and the milkshakes are divine, easily the best I’ve ever had.

Everyone needs to try this place. You won’t be disappointed.

I just had a brilliant experience at My Burger Bay in Nelson! I ordered the Philly Cheese Steak Angus Burger and added an extra smashed patty—it was incredibly juicy, flavorful, and definitely hit the spot. The Double Smashed Chick Single Meal was also a winner.
A few highlights:
The Food: The burgers are fresh and the portions are generous. Don't skip the Bay Sauce; it's a game-changer!
The Service: Ismaeel was great—super friendly and had my order ready right on time.
Value: £22.00 for two loaded meals and extra sides is fantastic value for the quality you get.

This place was simply amazing, the food was prepared to a high level with excellent presentation and the service was second to none.

We ordered the Sharif's Special Mixed Grill, Large Special Lamb Karahi along with 2 x Garlic Nan, all under £30 ?

The prices were reflective of the taste and quality of food and the atmosphere was calm with great decor and lighting.

Toilet facilities were super clean and the individual service given by the staff was commendable.

This is a great venue to try on any occasion and I highly recommend as I went with a dear brother and wasn't disappointed.

This kebab was excellent although I was a bit drunk at the time so I suppose anything tastes great when you've had a few! I ordered a special large kebab with salad and garlic sauce. To my surprise it all came separately. So, the meat came in a tray with the nann wrapped in cellophane and the salad was encased in grease proof paper. The garlic sauce came in a tub. I thought this was appropriate and considerate because not everyone likes how a kebab may be presented. You know what I mean, your kebab is covered in too much sauce or too many onions. I thought it was a good idea because you can arrange your big fat kebab just the way you want it. I'll be back soon lads!

I'm not a drinker these days but I throughly recommend this place for the delicious homemade food and amazing range of beers, both alcoholic and non-alcoholic. I ate the homemade cheese and onion pie (which contains a Mexican cheese for an interesting note) which comes with creamy mash (or chips), mushy peas and gravy. A hearty meal.
Washed down with a stunning Paulaner 0% (fresh, biscuity taste). Landlord and staff are friendly and the atmosphere is chilled (on non-match days and non-band nights!) Get out and support great indie pubs like this.

Empire Theatre champagne bar

Came in here for cocktails and food before going to see a movie with my husband. Food was incredibly fresh, you can tell it was all handmade from real ingredients, nothing frozen. Came out piping hot and was delicious. Also, I am a vegetarian and felt so accommodated and like I wasn’t being a burden at all, they even have a whole vegan and vegetarian menu I’ll have to try next time.

The cocktails were also immaculately presented, and tasted incredible. The cocktail menu has a very tropical vibe and the decoration such as Aloe stems and pineapple slices really adds to that ‘little piece of the Thai rainforest in Burnley’ feeling.

Finally, the staff were incredibly warm and welcoming. My husband is South Korean so find places where we as a multicultural couple aren’t ostracised is very important to me. The family who owns this bar are so warm, welcoming and kind.

Overall I had a wonderful time and I can’t recommend this place enough!

In particular Billy behind the bar always offers great service and goes out of his way to make sure we’re happy whenever we go. The default cues for the pool table need replacing, but when available there’s a wicked cue available, this used to be left our regularly but for some reason is now on request…

Stopped here on the way home from a camping trip after checking out the reviews , we weren’t disappointed as the welcome from the staff was lovely and the pub has a really nice atmosphere !
The food is exceptional , really well prepared and super tasty !
We had chefs special pie and a Sunday roast which we thoroughly enjoyed !
Wouldn’t hesitate to go back and will probably be making the odd trip out there for a treat again sometime soon !

The food was amazing, the last bite tastes as good as the first, perfectly balanced dishes and portion sizes do not disappoint. Service is fantastic, very passionate and talked about the origins of their food. Would recommend to anyone

Fabulous Christmas Party!! For the 2nd year we attended a Christmas Party Night at Bertrams. We're a group of 36 people, and despite large numbers the service was perfect, our waitress was delightful and made sure we were looked after. The food was delicious as always and the entertainment spot on.
If you're looking for a special event there is nowhere in the area better.
