Went here for breakfast. The food was amazing as was the setting. However, our waitress was very offhand and could not have been less interested in making us feel welcome. She took our order in a disinterested fashion, and didn’t ask if we’d enjoyed our food, or even bother to speak to us again. The rest of the staff were wonderful which helped, but I’m not sure I’d go back.

Lovely Christmas Dinner!What a great experience. Proper ROAST turkey dinner with all the trimmings and none of this 'boiled turkey' or 'turkey wellington' nonsense that a lot of other pubs in the area were offering. It was simply superb. Desserts were delicious, service was excellent, the dining area is really nice and was very festive.An all round top place to eat with our 3 course Christmas dinner (on Christmas eve) costing just £28 a head, cheap in comparison to a lot of it's rivals.We'll done Redwell, we'll be back.

We stayed for a wedding and couldn't speak highly enough of it. The room was so, so comfortable and well supplied, we had a couple of meals downstairs and special mention for the Sunday dinner is needed - it's by far the best roast dinner I've ever had out.Highly recommended for meals and accommodation, it's so well suited for any trips into the lakes or across into Yorkshire.Rooms: Lovely comfy mattresses, great shower.Food & drinks: Incredible food, great prices. Go for their roasts
