Wow, just wow! What a place! A truly traditional pub with food that wouldn't be out of place in a high end restaurant. Lovely welcoming staff and a real homely atmosphere. The duck & pancake starter was well presented, plentiful & tasty. The lamb, can't put into words just how good of a dish this is! Cooked to perfection with a sauce to die for, now to work out how to make it at home!Just hope we are back in the area again soon so we can come back!

Excellent food in large portions. Dog friendly. Do book even if you think it’s going to be quiet, it was full on a Friday lunchtime in March.

I visit regularly and am always made to feel welcome. Would say either book a table or get there really early as it fills up fast. Great selection of food and it always takes absolutely fabulous. The prices are very fair also.

Cumberland sausage!!A gorgeous meal with perfectly cooked veg, buttery mash and mashed carrott and swede, but to top it all ... beautiful rich gravy ?

The food is awesome here, nice pub with good atmosphere and the staff were all friendly and happy to help when needed. Nothing negative to say price was reasonable, suppose parking is bit limited but can easily park on the road. Would defo go back when in area again!

Visited upon recommendation from a work colleague. Lovely pub with a great atmosphere. The place was heaving, but we were lucky enough to get a reservation on a Saturday night at 6pm when ringing to book the same day. Starters: Prawn cocktail - plenty of prawns, slice of bread and butter, salad a little poor as some lettuce was brown. Sticky sausages - brilliant with lots of sausages. Italian mushrooms - beautiful Squid - well presented and tasty. Mains: Steak pudding - just amazing. Great size and very tasty with plenty of meat. The chips were stunning. Cheese & onion pie - beautiful strong cheese, tasty and a great size piece of pie. Chicken kiev - this was well cooked and a lovely meal. No room for dessert. Will definitely be back.

Always made welcome, with great real ale choice and excellent food. A proper Lancashire pub in the heart of the Ribble Valley.
