Booked our Christmas team night out for 8 of us on a busy Friday night. The food was excellent and every member of staff made a great effort to ensure everything was right for us. The bars upstairs and outside were great for carrying on the evening after eating, and the bar staff also worked hard to make sure that everyone was served quickly. Thank you!

This was the first Christmas lunch of the season, and it's certainly given the rest something to live up to. It was lovely. Up to 3 courses for just over £30. Some of the options on the special Christmas menu were also available on the normal menu, but the ballotine of turkey was the obvious choice. It didn't disappoint. It seemed to be a really big portion due to its shape and central positioning on the plate, surrounded by roast carrots, parsnips, sprouts, wilted greens and roast potatoes. Wrapped in smokey bacon, stuffing in the centre and with a couple of chipolata sausages it was tasty and succulent. The gravy was excellent with a good meaty flavour. It was served for both the turkey and the lamb dish, which also was devoured to great compliments. Everything was well presented and served by a pleasant chatty host. Definitely tempted to go back for another one.....

We enjoyed a lovely meal here last night. We didn't have a reservation but were seated promptly and offered drinks whilst we looked at the menu. The service was excellent and the food delicious - I can highly recommend the mushroom ravioli and my husband enjoyed the chicken Sunday special; we both had the mandarin posset with shortbread which was light with a great punch of citrus. We had a really lovely evening and will certainly be returning in the weeks to come. Thank you to the team for a fab experience!

Visitedfrom Australia to see family.went to the Cosmopolitan for Sunday lunch.I could not have booked a better place, The staff there were attentive and very knowledgeable about the menu.we had a traditional English Sunday roast of roast beef and it was all cooked to perfection. Will definitely visit there on my next trip from Australia next year'

Recommended by friends, they weren't wrong. What a fantastic place to eat, the menu was varied with a good choice. The food itself, lamb meatballs with tomato sauce and calamari for starters, followed by paella and Sirloin Steak (served with the biggest steak knife I have ever seen) all 4 dishes were cooked to perfection, tasted fantastic and could not be faulted. The staff were very attentive without being overbearing, service was ideally spaced between the courses. Great meal, thank you

Popped for lunch as a couple. Service was brilliant. Food was tasty hot and fresh! The chicken strips are to die for. The menu has a great variety of options. The restaurant has recently been added to the taste card too so a cheeky 25% off the bill. Bonus! We Will definitely come back to try the bottomless brunch!

Came for my daughters 18th birthday meal and woe it's was fabulous. The service was fast and efficient. We felt welcome from the moment we walked through the door. The food was amazing and the hospitality was just spectacular. We will 100% be back soon, we loved every minute.

Visited for dinner before going to open mic night and so happy we did! We were served by Elmas and Reg who are the best front of house persons we have encountered for a while, I had the seabass which was gorgeous and my husband had the Paella which he says the best he has had! Elmas knowledge of the wine to pair with our dishes were very impressive and the overall ambience, service and food was an absolute delight, surprisingly all at a very reasonable cost! We ordered the starter to take out to give to the host of the open mic night and they even wrote a little not for him... "Bon Appetit" he too was blown away with the food! We told everyone we spoke to in the pub and they told us they had all heard brilliant reviews too! Our first visit was fabulous and will definitely not be our last! Thank you Reg and Elmas you are great x
