This is my second time at Cosmo for a bottomless brunch - absolutely fantastic. The food is delicious, we had the beef and chicken burger and the pace of the drinks is quick enough to enjoy without feeling like you're being rushed or that you're waiting for drinks. Well what can I say our first visit and it sure won’t be our last . The staff here were amazing especially our waitress Jade nothing was too much trouble for her as a large group of people all wanting different things and she was up and down the stairs all the time. Food was amazing and the service was unbelievable as mentioned Jade had her work cut out with us all but remained so attentive to all our needs. First time ordering. Very reasonable pricing. Delivery time was fast and food came piping hot. The poppadoms were the best I've had from any takeaway, really fresh. I would have liked a bit more spice to the red sauce but it was still pleasant. I ordered a Lamb Madras and asked for it extra hot as nowhere else seems to do it spicy enough. It was absolutely spot on. Heat, flavours consistency really was excellent. The lamb too was faultless. Really impressed, good job guys.

Went for lunch after a canal walk yesterday, the pub itself is lovely beautiful outdoor seating options and plenty of space inside. We were a walk in and accomodated very well, though I noticed a lot of reservations so would recommend reserving if travelling or for a specific occasion. Food was lovely, kids menu had enough variety and was a reasonable price for the 2 course option my daughter had the build your own fruit sundae for dessert and thoroughly enjoyed. The service was exception, our server was very friendly and accommodating, interactive with my daughter. Her name was either Claire or Eva (the card has both) but to be honest all staff were great. Overall lovely experience and lovely end to our day out.

A perfect little date night spot right here in our village, Adlington. We’re lucky to have this one so close by.

Prices are definitely towards the higher end for the local area, but the quality is also a step above most places nearby, so it feels justified.

I’m a big fan of chateaubriand, and Bistecca do a really solid deal on theirs. The 700g chateaubriand (£85) is go 2, comes with an appetiser, a sauce, roasted new potatoes and two desserts, which makes it pretty reasonable considering the quality of the cut.

Their Josper oven and grill is the real star here. It gives the steak that perfect charred flavour while keeping the inside beautifully tender. Exactly what you want when you’re ordering a prime fillet cut.

I’ve pretty much given up cooking steak at home now. I can never get it anywhere near as good as in a proper restaurant, so when those steak cravings hit, this is where I come. Saves me the disappointment!

If red meat isn’t your thing, the seabass was lovely too, so there are definitely good options beyond steak.

Service is tight, friendly and efficient, which helps the whole experience feel polished without being stuffy.

Verdict: A brilliant local steak spot. Perfect for date night and well worth trying the chateaubriand.

Took family for lunch here at the weekend, food was amazing!! The cafe was busy and buzzing with people. Value for money! Portion was huge, the taste was amazing and everyone finished their plates.
We had a few waitresses and there was a small lack of communication when it came to the last baguette to come to the table but it did in the end.
I would say that the only thing negative was the cherry pie, I would have like it to come hot but it came cold. It was still delicious.

The service we had was exceptional. We were served by 2 young girls who were very sweet and the food was delicious and was up to our standards. However, the woman, who im assuming is the manager, was dressed very unprofessionally in baggy jeans and a casual t-shirt. She spent a lot of her time at the end of the bar speaking to someone she seemed very close with and spent a lot of time on her phone and not supporting her staff. As she walked through the restaurant and past our table, there was a very strong cigarette smell coming from her, which is not professional and not something I wish to experience whilst eating. Also, whilst we were waiting for our mains she seemed to be touching the food that was already prepared and waiting under the lights before she took it to a table. Again this is not something that I would like to see especially after ordering. We come here quite frequently and I have always enjoyed the experience, however this time I was very disappointed and if it wasn't for the young girls serving us, then we probably would have up and left due to what we witnessed with the manager.

went today with 3 friends. Lovely roast dinner. best mashed potato I have tasted in a long time. large portions and very nice cauliflower cheese on the side. Also, being very greedy, a big pile of pigs in blankets. Fortunately, managed to fit dessert on. Highly recommend. Though I am partial to lamb roast dinner. Not many places do it now. The pub is really spacious and the staff are very attentive. Thank you very much.

Came to celebrate both a birthday and Father's Day combined and we thought here was the perfect location due to elderly family member and having access within (which was fine)
6 of us in total and we all thoroughly enjoyed the 5 course meal which was on offer,different variations of the courses which suited us all and everything was delicious.
The staff members were particularly punctual and they deserve full credit as it was full when we were there,So they were kept busy,But everything came together and like I say,was delicious.
We certainly recommend coming to The Travellers Rest as it is very welcoming,A lovely,relaxed atmosphere and also a quick mention to the background music which was great to listen to also, a little different to the bog standard that you can quite often get,so that was refreshing also.
Each time we come,we always enjoy and definitely worth the visit.

My partner and I have just had a lovely meal at The Farmers Arms in Heskin, and honestly, it reminded us why it’s so important to support what we’ve got on our doorstep. The staff were warm and attentive, and the new management have brought a really welcoming feel back into the place. It’s relaxed, friendly, and exactly what a village pub should be. You can tell they’re putting real effort into making it somewhere people want to come back to.

We have been going to Mario’s for over twenty years. Happy that they retain their 5* hygiene rating.
Ordered off Chorley Eats as we had no cash on hand and needed to order quickly.
Placed our usual order for two donner & chicken kebabs- salad and sauce comes in separate containers- which we prefer for freshness.
Sadly, they made an error compiling our order and we were delivered two Shish & Chicken kebabs. I called the shop straight away and the man on the phone could not apologise enough, and asked what do I want him to do. I said if he could just send a donner kebab so we can add it to the order, that would be okay. Turns out, we now like shish kebab, and our son still got his donner meat.
We got sent a fresh and hot donner AND chicken kebab, new sauces, salad, and a portion of chips with the word ‘sorry’ written on the packaging. We all make mistakes, it’s how we handle them that makes the difference. We certainly won’t be taking our business elsewhere. Thanks Mario’s

I eat here a lot, so this isn’t bias… but I swear I had the best Wexford chicken I’ve ever eaten. Perfectly cooked chicken breast smothered in the most incredible pepper and Stilton sauce ? I went for skin-on fries (the correct choice), and it came with buttery greens that finished it off beautifully.

Absolutely delicious from start to finish. When I asked who was cooking, I was told it was a rising star—Lizzie, originally front of house and now retrained as a chef.

Nice local traditional pub, great open fire, staff who served us should be told not to hold glasses at top? Some of the locals dont seem to be too friendly to strangers getting served at the bar obstructing their seats, no vaping signs up but idiot sat near us got away with it openly.

Been in here a couple of times and the family that run the pub are so warm and welcoming. The place had a feel about it that you didn’t want to leave and you were at home.
Staff very attentive and friendly. I would recommend anyone passing to pop in for a welcome drink and watch your favourite sports.
I see they have entertainment on also on selective nights and I will definitely be attending some of these as I can imagine what a great crowd they pull in.

Called in here for the first time this morning (won't be the last) excellent full English breakfast, asked for a few alterations to the posted breakfast due to dietary requirements, not a problem, lovely food,well presented by friendly and helpful staff in a spotlessly clean environment and VERY reasonably priced, only a couple of other customers in during my visit which surprised me, people should be queuing out of the door at this little GEM,if your in the area give them a try, you will not be disappointed.

Absolutely great choice for fish and chips in Chorley, don't let the size of the shop fool you, it's one of the finest fish and chips I ever tried since I arrived to the UK, from the Middlesbrough in the North East, to Whitby to Manchester but I can't believe it that I found such great service with great flavour, thank you.

23rd July. A very wet one. Random decision to visit Rivington brew co tap for food and drink. Expected it to be empty. It was anything but that. I set my sights straight on the burger capital and opted for the well named pablo escoburger. This burger was hands down one of the best burgers I’ve ever had. Easily top 3 and I EAT! ??. On a miserable day the service was still top quality and I made sure I went back and told the chef how much I enjoyed the food he had made. Overall the whole place was brilliant and I can see why on such a dull day it was still very busy. Bar staff was very friendly and the service was as good as the food. If you haven’t been then I highly recommend you do go. Will be returning.

Sorry Andrew, food wasn't up to its best tonight. I appreciate you were busy with it being Good Friday but got home chips and peas were lukewarm and portion size tonight wasn't great either the large chips there is usually plenty for 2 but was really tight tonight also a regular cod was small and thin I would definitely not say it was regular cod. Disappointed tonight.
